Hello friends!

I'm so excited to announce that we've added the Emerald Sewing Pattern to our print pattern offerings AND we also have the updated Cleo Sewing Pattern now in print!

Emerald has consistently been one of our best-selling PDF patterns and we've had many requests for it in print. Cleo is always a summer best-seller, so when we updated and added new sizes to Cleo last summer, I really wanted to update the print version as well.

Both of these patterns are fantastic late-summer sews; they help beat the heat in hot weather and are just as lovely with layers as the weather cools into fall.

about Emerald

Emerald is a intermediate-level pattern for a simple bias-cut shift dress or top designed to offer comfort in the summer heat. The garment is composed of four main panels and is finished with facings, which highlight the elegant V-shaped neckline and curved hem. The dress view includes pockets and an optional sash.

Emerald comes in our extended size range and can comfortably fit hip measurements of 34-63" with 4-8" of ease (max finished hip of 67"), and chest measurements of 34-60" with 2-3" of ease (max finished chest of 62")

Find more details, charts, and photos of this patterns on the Emerald Page on my website. You can also find fabric recommendations, supporting blog posts, and other tutorials there!

about Cleo

Cleo is a gathered skirt sewing pattern featuring a flat-front waistband with elastic in the back. Two views are included: a knee-length version with cutout pockets and contrasting hem band, and a midi-length version with inseam pockets
.
Cleo’s versatile design works with many different kinds of fabrics; make it with cotton for an everyday staple, or dress it up with silk for a fancy party skirt!

NEWLY UPDATED WITH METRIC AND NEW SIZES
Cleo now comes in our largest size range and is designed to fit hip measurements of 35-70" with 28" of ease. In addition, the print pattern now has both metric and imperial charts.

You can see more details, charts, and photos on the Cleo Page on my website. You can also find tutorials, supporting blog posts, and the Cleo Skirtalong there!

Just like Luna, Trillium, and Rose, these patterns are printed with vegetable based inks on high-quality paper made with renewable eucalyptus pulp which is 100% renewable and easier to trace, fold, and store than traditional pattern tissue. All components of our paper patterns are fully recyclable.

As you can see, we've redesigned the outer package (again!) for Emerald and Cleo due to the rising costs of printing. With this redesign, we've eliminated the coated cardstock box-style envelopes, which was considerably more expensive to print and heavier to ship, and returned to a plastic zip bag package. The size of these new patterns is similar to the cardstock boxed envelopes (7x10") and larger than the Geranium patterns (6x9") to accommodate the larger pattern sheets with more sizes.

I think we've done a great job of keeping the overall look and feel the same, while at the same time taking advantage of the lower carbon footprint that the folded design provides.

I hear all of the time how many of you appreciate the printed patterns for how easy they are to use. Printing patterns isn't something we can offer for all of my designs, but I love knowing that having the pattern in hand makes it that much easier for you to dive in and start sewing something.

I hope you'll enjoy these new printed patterns - as always, we couldn't do it without you. Thank you so much for your support!

Happy sewing,
Rae
