~AUGUST 11, 2023~

Hi Everyone!!

I hope your week was a good one! My week was busy as usual, but it has been quiet around here since the kids went back to school which I like! Now I can concentrate on work with any outside distractions and that makes me happy! Now on to some business talk…

Over at The Glam Budget Lifestyle, I hope you all have been liking the “Amazon Daily Deals” & “Walmart Weekly Deals” emails I have been sending out on Tuesdays & Thursdays. I love searching for deals for all of you as well as myself! Also, in last week's newsletter, I added a new section to the newsletter “Outfit Of The Week". I am a novice when it comes to having my picture taken (I hope it wasn't to obvious that I was a bit nervous in the picture I used last week), but I got through it. I will be posting an outfit of the week when I can and when I don't have and outfit of the week, I thought I could post a “Makeup Look Of The Week”. What do you think? Let me know your thoughts on this idea by hitting the “REPLY TO ME” button in the “CONTACT ME” section of this newsletter. I would appreciate your feedback!

Over at The Glam Budget Boutique, "The Resale Shop” has been put on hold for now. I have been busy keeping up with The Glam Budget Lifestyle part of my business that I do not have the the time I need to focus on building the resale shop at the moment. Once things settle down with The Glam Budget Lifestyle, I will continue building the resale shop.

That's all I have for you this week! I hope you all have a spectacular weekend and week ahead, and now it's time to move on to this week's newsletter…

Easy No-Churn Homemade Ice Cream

There are still a few more weeks of summer left and that means that it’s still ice cream season! Now, if you love the goodness of homemade ice cream but you don’t have an ice cream maker, No problem! This simple way to make homemade ice cream calls for just 3 ingredients plus any mix-ins you desire and is ready to eat in just a few hours. Here’s the recipe…

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 14 oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
DIRECTIONS: (Prep Time: 10 minutes, Chill Time: 4 hours, Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes, Serves: 10)
  1. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer or a stand mixer to whip the cream until stiff peaks occur, be careful not to over whip. The cream will be done when you pull the beaters out and the cream stands at attention.
  2. In another large bowl, whisk the vanilla into the sweetened condensed milk. Gently fold in the whipped cream with a spatula, slowly incorporating the two mixtures together so it stays light and aerated.
  3. If making individual flavors, scoop the cream mixture into smaller bowls and gently fold in your desired mix-ins, or if making just one flavor, mix the ingredients directly into the cream mixture.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an insulated tub or paper containers and freeze for 4-6 hours.
Tips for Making No-Churn Ice Cream:
Get the right ingredients. Because this homemade ice cream recipe requires so few ingredients, it’s important that you buy exactly what’s listed in the recipe above. Don’t try to substitute lower fat or lower sugar alternatives otherwise your ice cream won’t turn out right.

If adding additional extracts (like almond or mint) to the vanilla ice cream base, be sure to add only a little bit at a time. Vanilla extract is tough to overdo, but other extracts are much more potent.

Lastly, be sure to chop up your mix-ins. Larger nuts, chocolate chips, M&M’s, and such become rock hard when frozen, so it helps if they are chopped up first.

~Friday August 11, 2023~

Hi Friends!!

Happy Friday Everyone! I hope you all had a fun filled week! My week was fun filled with play time, lounging in front of the sliding glass door watching the world go by and of course making my mama crazy (my favorite thing to do)! This week was also nice because I can now go out on my potty breaks without worrying about kids being out and making me feel nervous. They are back in school and now my potty breaks are nice, quiet and wonderful!

In other news, the weather here this week has been okay! No excessive heat warnings! Wednesday's high was only 100 degrees (but it was a little bit humid)! That was nice for sure! I don't know what next week will bring weather wise, but I hope it will be a lot like this week!

That's all that I have for you this week! I hope you all have a fun filled weekend and I will bark with all of you next week and remember, ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!

The Best Of What I Wore This Week
From Amazon & Nordgreen

Last Sunday, my friends and I escaped the heat of Las Vegas and headed up to the mountains for a day of hiking, gossiping and brunch at the resort and pictured above is the athleisure wear outfit I put together, Capri leggings, a knit top and my cloud running shoes. I was comfortable and felt stylish at the same time! I love the athleisure wear look and I love this look I created for a day with friends enjoying fresh air, nature and of course, good food too!
