The importance of Work- Life - Balance

Work - Life balance has always been a hot topic and rightly so.
Work definitely plays a significant part of our lives; in certain cases, it even defines who we are. Often, work takes precedence over everything else in our lives. Our desire to succeed professionally can push us to set aside our own well-being. Creating a harmonious work-life balance or work-life integration is critical, though, to improve not only our physical, emotional and mental well-being, but it’s also important for our career. At C'est ici Design, we believe that a healthy work-life balance is crucial, not only for the health and relationships of our employees, but it has also shown to improve productivity and creativity within our team.
Sometimes, truly unplugging means taking vacation time and shutting work completely off for a while. Whether your vacation consists of a one-day staycation or a two-week trip to Bali, it’s important to take time off to physically and mentally recharge. Sooo, the summer comes and  you can find our team members scattered around the globe getting a breath of fresh air and design inspiration from the upcoming months.
From Lebanon, India, Jordan, Italy, Spain, Germany, South of France, Colombia and Miami, our team has enjoyed the perks of traveling and connecting with each other's within different time zones. Playing and living an international summer while getting ready for the exciting projects coming up this Autumn. Here is a peek at some of the most inspirational places around the world.

At the beginning of August, our Founder and Creative Director was the guest of the aForm Podcast hosted by Alan George.
The podcast covers all things design and architecture and everything in between. This insightful conversation talked about experimental design, the calmness and the feelings that one has when being in a specific place, the reason behind C'est ici Design.

When asked what she thinks what the future of the company, Monica emphasized on how she is realistic about her reality and her priorities. Being a mother of two, she takes C'est ici's journey one step at a time. The podcast ends with some words of advice from Monica to a younger version of herself:

" Never rush into making decisions.
Take a moment, listen to your passions and heart and envision your future self. Most importantly, don't be afraid to stand out."

Spotlight on Vibia
Design beyond light

Barcelona has become a hub for creativity with an impressive design history and ecofriendly products aligned with Vibia's HQ.
Lighting is undoubtedly one of the most transformative elements and tipping point of our designs. Through the years, C'est ici Design has been lighting up a number of projects with Vibia. The reason behind is quite simple, Vibia's artful pieces have made an impactful effect influencing our senses with its visual trickery.
We had the pleasure of meeting the team behind the scenes as well as the amazing journey behind the design of each product. We also enjoyed a beautiful luncheon at their HQ with some Spanish delicasses.
