Cherished has faced some challenges of late, as a team and as individuals, 
but this has not made us back down. In fact, quite the opposite… We know 
the resistance we face is precisely because of the mission we are on.
 
 
We are strengthened through it all with the hope of reaching God’s 
precious lost daughters. And that makes every single obstacle worth it!

A NEW PATH
 
We are so proud of a young woman in the reintegration phase of our Restoration Programme. She recently found employment, is working hard and moving out into her own space. We are so grateful to see her taking these bold steps to a purpose-filled future for her and her daughter. 
GOD'S TLC
 
We are so grateful for the precious life of a dear lady in our care. After a gruelling illness and treatment, and further invasive surgery, she is now cancer-free. She’s well on the road to recovery, living independently and looking into studying. Please pray for God to continue to heal her heart, just as He’s healed her body. 
A GIANT LEAP FORWARD
 
We are so proud of 2 ladies in our programme who've recently completed a Frail Care Assistant & First Aid Course. Both of them passed with great marks in the practical and theoretical portions. This is a wonderful achievement that will enable them to work overseas should they so choose.

CHERISHED JHB NORTH
 
The relentless love of God for His daughters was so evident throughout both outreaches. Walls simply crumbled as ladies let down their guard and poured out their burdened hearts to the team. And Jesus met them exactly where they were at – some felt lost and terribly alone, some deeply traumatised, and others ashamed of the lives they lead and seeking God’s forgiveness. In fact, there were 3 different women who came from Christian families who desperately sought His forgiveness and acceptance. There is no doubt that God designed these moments to let each one know that they are forgiven and loved, just like the woman who wept at Jesus’ feet.
CHERISHED EAST RAND
 
The East Rand Team also did 2 powerful outreaches by simply being available to what God wanted to do through them. A number of ladies asked for prayer, including one lady who actually left her client and came running to the team! They were able to hand out cupcakes personally to many precious women, which is a beautiful first point of connection. They also managed to get into a venue for a second time that they had been denied access to for many years. A precious lady who used to be in the industry and now runs an organisation helping ex-industry ladies, joined the team for this outreach. This is what she had to say…
“I was blown away with the magnitude of what outreach 
actually does. I’ve been told about it many times, but only when seeing it for myself do I see what we are fighting. Walking into each place and feeling the sadness, desperation and darkness. I believe we had a productive outreach & for the most part I found the ladies engaging and receptive.
 
It was an honour for me to be able to share some of my story with the ladies & relate to them and this was all by God's grace & plan. I am in awe of what you ladies have been doing & the amount of heart, prayer and self that goes into this process.
 
I feel incredibly privileged to be a part of it!”
