new brand, who dis?
We've got a fresh new look

When Asmbly first started operations in April 2021, we launched with the intention to revisit our branding at a later date once we got some other basics out of the way like cleaning up the space and improving our equipment.

This year, we finally reached that point and were ready to dig in to do some pro-level work to establish Asmbly's brand identity.  We connected with an incredible graphic designer — Marta at Studio Stoked — through 99designs.  With her creative ingenuity, we made a completely new brand for Asmbly that captures what we're all about.

At the heart of everything we do at Asmbly, it's all about sharing.  We are here to share space, tools, ideas, and a passion for creating!  We celebrated a few weeks ago at our Brand Rollout Party with a big reveal plus Make Your Own Merch activities.  It was a lot of fun and great connecting with members and new friends alike!
We also met new friends at Texas Woodworking Festival a few weeks ago!  It was a great event put on by Austin School of Furniture connecting a wide range of folks with a shared interest — a love of woodworking.  Lots of great ideas for future improvements and collaborations at Asmbly came about from this event and we're excited to follow up on them!

  • How do characteristic such as density, pitch, moisture, etc affect gluing?
  • What should I do differently when gluing end grain versus face grain?
  • How do I handle glue gaps and clamping for for different joinery techniques?
