The other night, I had a thought that with the right intention (and proper dose) just about anything can be “medicine.” Even processed foods with absolutely no nutritious value, when shared over intimate conversation with a loved one, can be medicine for the soul. Even tobacco, Netflix and social media. So, the next time you turn down that beer on a Monday, the midnight slice of pizza or the romcom with your partner when there's so much else you could be doing… see if you can entertain the idea that maybe - just maybe - in saying yes, you're receiving exactly the medicine your soul is needing.
