Dear First name / friend

When I go to Flodesk (the program I use for this newsletter), it comes up with a witty little saying as it opens – one of today's is “Control what you can control”. Very appropriate considering my last blog post about traveling via air.

You may also notice that I've written in my blog THREE (3) times since the last newsletter, in keeping with my goal to write more.

Since returning home, I've been busy – teaching my regular Sage classes, and seeing individuals for yoga therapy or yoga instruction.

Seems I used to have a bit of time to get home in the afternoon, do a bit of housework or sneak in a power nap. Not lately.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about being busy and I still love the new space.

And, I've been learning more about working on my website. With the help of a friend, I added a page titled “RESOURCES” - for now, it is populated with ‘free stuff’. Check it out – I've included:
  1. my article on getting up and down from the floor,
  2. a pdf on balance,
  3. a video I suggest to many to strengthen their hands,
  4. and an article on constructive rest position.
I plan to add more, so keep checking in.

The Trestle (wood tool I have my elbows on) is great for stretching
shoulders, legs and torso; and provides stability when balance is an issue.

MY SCHEDULE:

Weekdays by appointment: Individual Yoga Therapy or Yoga Instruction.
Contact me through my website or email me directly (leslie@lesliesalmonyoga.com)

10:30am    Mondays & Thursdays   Aligned Yoga in Fallbrook

on my end table:
ENLIGHTEN UP by Beth Gibbs who writes well, is easy to read and understandable, and applies yoga philosophy to our lives – from a contemporary viewpoint. Highly recommend!

The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson. A historical fiction (1936) chronicling the challenges of the New Deal Pack Horse Library Project. Also highly recommend!

for more light reading:
  1. Who likes potato salad?  If so, try this.
  2. Many of the fiction / historical fiction books I've read (on my iPad) have come from an online service titled “BookBub”. BookBub offers great deals on discounted eBooks – when using that word ‘discounted’, you may worry about quality. You receive review information, so you have an idea of what the book is about and if it will be of interest to you. I've had good experience with this service.
  3. Cup of Jo newsletter — lots of interesting and fun articles and links.
  4. And, my recent blog posts are available for reading.

Until next time,
Leslie
