2023 Summer Sketchbook Un-Slump |
|
It's a wrap for the 2023 Summer Sketchbook Un-Slump! Congrats on dedicating time and energy into your creative practice and working through these prompts with me! It's not an easy thing to do and you should be proud of what you've accomplished. It has been such a joy going on this 5 week journey with you and seeing all the ways you've expressed each prompt. You've motivated, encouraged, and inspired me! I hope you take some time to reflect on what you've made with your imagination, heart, mind, and hands. And if you joined recently or are still working on the prompts, please continue working on them--I'm cheering you on! Don't forget to visit the Community Photo Gallery--especially if you aren't on social media often--to check out what everyone has done for each of the prompts! One of my favorite things about hosting the SSUS is seeing all the different ways one prompt can be interpreted! In this email I wanted to share: how you can continue this journey if you enjoyed this series, a GIVEAWAY, ideas to help you keep on creating, and what to expect in the future as well as ways to stay in touch! |

There are also a few other surprises along the way :) EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: Subscribe to the CSN between now through the end of October and receive an early bird discount! A FEW MORE IDEAS & PROMPTS FOR YOU Sending you off with a few more ideas to keep the creative momentum going! |
|
- Create A Recap Post Share a recap on social media! Include all the pieces you created for the un-slump in a carousel post/video/collage image and share about what you created and your experience. (Don't forget to tag me so I can see :) @atiliay)
- Revisit any ideas you had If there was a prompt that you had several ideas for, revisit and create them--it's also fun to go back to the earlier prompts and see if you have a different perspective or new ideas.
- Combine prompts Put together 2 or more of the prompts and see what that inspires you to create!
- Expand on your warm up mark If you did the warm up mark, go back and take a look at it. Consider using it in a new way such as cutting it out to use s a collage piece, adding more marks and colors to create a background, or turning it into a completed page.
- Use this random word generator to come up with prompts This site will randomly generate different words for you and you can choose from noun, verb, sentence, etc. from the menu bar at the top
- Use this color palette generator to decide what colors to use This is pretty fun! :) The colors above are some of the palettes I got.
- Check out my Creative Spark Deck if you like the idea of having prompt cards!
- You can also download 100 prompts for free on my blog

WHAT'S NEXT & WAYS TO STAY IN TOUCH |
|
You will receive a reminder email towards the end of September about the giveaway and another in October about the early bird special. Each email will also include a mini prompt to work on! :) After that, the next time you'll hear from me is next summer when we do the un-slump again! In the meantime, I'd love to stay in touch! Here are a few ways to do that: - If you'd like to get creative inspiration throughout the months as well as learn more about what's going on with me and my art and business, sign up for my regular newsletter, Atiliay Notes. This is the best way to stay in touch and my favorite--I really enjoy writing these emails and staying connected!
- Let's be friends on social media! You can find me on Instagram or TikTok.
- Find me on YouTube! I have so many ideas for tutorials, meditations, etc.--I can't wait to share more here! The next video I have planned (should be out this weekend) is a tutorial on how to make your own multi-layered self-portrait.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for being a part of the second annual Summer Sketchbook Un-Slump! It means a lot to me that this series resonated with you and to have you here. I hope you had fun and feel encouraged and inspired to continue creating! Have a wonderful rest of your summer and hope to talk to you soon! :) |
