Rediscovering My Purpose Through Travel
This year, I've had the opportunity to travel for work more than I ever have in my 13-year career. From Tampa to Milwaukee to San Francisco and beyond, getting a change of routine has been restorative.

Connecting with colleagues who I normally only interact with virtually gave me an opportunity to be fully present and gain a deeper understanding of the communities where initiatives and programs are being implemented.

These conversations and experiences allowed time for some deep self-reflection and questioning as I approach four years of consulting. Are my services in alignment with how I like to lead? How can I think expansively about business growth? Am I living my purpose?

I've realized that I'd like to include a larger share of social impact-focused arts and culture clients in my portfolio as I believe that art can advance movements of change in unique and powerful ways. I'd like to support creative teams and independent artists who understand how vital having a strategic and supportive team behind you is.

P.S. I found this mural outside MoMA PS1 on a trip to Queens, and the quote has stayed with me as I embrace this evolution. The text says “As we destroy these oppressive structures, what will we grow from our fires?”
