So August was supposed to be a really quiet month for us, so of course it's turned out to be the busiest we've been all year. 😆 We kicked off the month having our chicken coop delivered because WE PICK UP OUR HENS ON THE 3RD SEPTEMBER! Well, the first three of them anyway. 😆🐔 We had to put the coop up in stages while Ziggy was napping and whenever the weather was good. I have some really fun memories with Rose doing this! We are SO excited, I showed Ziggy where we're going to collect the eggs and where the hens will sleep and he keeps going over to the coop and saying "More chick?" 🥰 I think they might become pet of the month! |
Then we headed off to London to take Ziggy to meet Peppa Pig! This was SO much fun!! Why did I get starstruck over Peppa? Rose and I definitely want to go back to the Natural History Museum to do the full tour! While we were there Ziggy kept asking Rose for cuddles and not letting her go - even when I was breastfeeding him!! |
Then Ziggy went to a friend's birthday party and THEY HAD CHICKENS THERE! He was OBSESSED. |
Back home this month we are finally reaping the rewards of our gardening, and ate our first home grown mini cucumber and tomatoes. We're growing two different types of tomatoes and the orange ones are delicious. 🤤 We fry them in olive oil with a bit of salt and pepper and have them on sourdough. Incredible! It's definitely Rose's happy place! 🤣 |

I drove my sister and myself to Stratford for my cousin's wedding and I'm SO PROUD of how far I've come with my driving! The wedding was amazing and it was so great to catch up on all the family goss! |
It’s time to partaaaaaaay! |
Then Rose and I finally got to have some time for ourselves and had not one, not two, but THREE DATES!! 🥰 We went to Sudeley Castle and strolled around, fed the fish and accidentally gatecrashed a wedding, which was amazing until we got told off for sitting on a wall. Got the shot though! |
Then we went shopping and got ice cream at Pizza Hut. It was so nice to sit across from one another and eat in peace!! Even if it was ice cream! We never do stuff like this and it was really special. THEN we went to see the Barbie movie!! Rose was so incredibly embarrassed that I brought my Barbie with me but I had to get the shot! It was amazing and I was hormonal and cried the entire time. What did you guys think, have you seen it? I loved it!! |
Another amazing memory from this month was watching the Women's World Cup! I can't tell you how much I enjoyed watching the semi final and the final! It was so TENSE. I finally see what all the fuss is about when it comes to football now. 😆 I loved not knowing if someone was suddenly going to get a goal in. Plus it helps that all the players are easy on the eyes. I told Rose I would love to go to a match on a date - as long as it's women's football! Then we took Zig to see Grandma and Grandad and went to a local village fete in Rose's hometown! It was SO SWEET. We walked around the village where Rose grew up and saw her old school. Ziggy loved going in the firetruck and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. |

We have a date booked in to see the infamous Laura Dix and my brother and his fiancé are back in England and are paying us a visit! I feel like it has been the most social month we've ever had! I finally got my hair cut again! I'm so much happier with it shorter. It's took a weight off my shoulders literally lol. It's crazy what a haircut can do for you mentally. I feel like a brand new bitch haha. Speaking of brand new, I am SO GLAD I started up with therapy again, it is working WONDERS. My therapist is amazing! This isn't an ad, just a point to say, it's perfectly ok not to be 100% emotionally stable (who the hell is? Lol) and that it always helps to talk to someone. You guys aren't alone! There's a lot of craziness going on in the world right now, with terrible fires, flooding and then horrible stuff in the news atm. 😔 We are also in the middle of SEVEN planets in retrograde (more of that in the Cosy Coven) so if you aren't feeling too optimistic that's ok. This summer has been WEIRD. I just want you guys to be kind to yourselves and know that you have got this! We love you so much! 🐸❤️ |

01 / G flip's new album Drummer!!!! We are OBSESSED!!! We LOVE THEM! It truly is an album full of bops, not one single flop. I can't stop listening! 02 / Barbie movie Of course this would be on my list! I'm so happy to finally be a part of the hype. I even wore pink to the screening! It was soooo good. I'm hoping for a second one! 03 / Tusaiwey on Instagram and Tusaiweyana on TikTok I found Tusa on TikTok one day and the caption said something like "I am 24 and have 24 children". She runs a non profit organization that takes in vunerable children and now adults. It's amazing to see her care for ALL these children. I can barely cope with one. She is truly inspirational and also does fundraising so if you want to donate to a good cause she's an excellent choice. I love following her journey. 04 / Tik tok of the month 05 / Cunk on Earth We ADORED this show it's amazing! When this was over, to fill the hole that it left Rose started Ancient Apocalypse which was also great and now she's just started Manifest! Heart stopper is next on our list! I'm still trying to get through Greys. 😂 |

We were in Leo season but we have JUST entered Virgo! Virgo is all about going inward and self reflection - perfect for me during my therapy! Virgos are also perfectionists - so what can you work on/perfect this month? It's time to dig out that to-do list and tick off a few things. 😆 Virgos have a secret talent for finding joy in the little things and this season encourages you to appreciate the beauty of simplicity. It's the perfect time to declutter your life and make room for new adventures. The gemstone commonly associated with the zodiac sign Virgo is the sapphire. Sapphires carry a deep symbolism that aligns with many Virgo traits. They are often associated with wisdom, loyalty, and nobility, reflecting Virgo's analytical and intellectual nature. |

As I'm sure Rosie will agree, having skin with a will of its own isn't always fun, and I've recently had a HUUUUUGE flare up of my psoriasis! It's taken me literally all month to calm it down but I'm finally looking and feeling like myself again. Yay! It took a lot to go to the doctors and ask for help (neither of which are my favourite things to do) But I did it anyway! Very proud of myself & hope you guys have been celebrating all your accomplishments this month too, big or small. Big hugs Shelley x |

After years of trying to move back home, I'm finally in the first steps of being able too! I start my brand-new job back home this week and am getting ready to move house! (when I find somewhere!) I'm so excited to be back home with my family and get my life back!! Only a little one, but it means big things or me and Reuben in the overall!! Thank you for everything you do, I love you loads! I’ve been a member for over a year I think, but I discovered your channel when I was finishing my undergraduate degree (about 5 years ago). I had just come out to myself and a few friends when I started watching your videos and they helped me so much. I would literally fall asleep to your channel at one point. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you! You both are so hilarious and make me smile. I just had COVID and re-watched all the gay parts of Bly Manor and then watched your youtube video about it and it had me laughing out loud. Also, an achievement for the news letter is I just finished the fourth year of my PhD program in Chemistry! I’ve got a year left still, but I made it this far and my project is actually kind of working! It’s been a wild ride. I can’t wait to move out of my parent’s house, get rich, and find a lesbian lover in that order hehe. Sambul |

I have no huge news to report, but I wanted to share a cute frog sighting. I have attached the picture below. I'm hoping this is a good omen as I'm currently starting a new position within my job. Have a great week! |

This is Mika. She is around two years old and twenty pounds. When we rescued her two and a half months ago she was not spayed, nor chipped, nor trained, nor properly socialized and apparently had never been on a leash before. She was very scared and barked at everything and everyone, except for me and my wife. She liked us right away. But Mika has worked very hard since joining our family! She's endured trips to the vet and the dog trainer. She's learned to walk on a leash, commands including sit and stay and leave it. She's learning that she doesn't have to alarm bark at every stranger and that some strangers are nice and give treats. (Men are still scary.) Mika has learned not to bark at her new sister cat and to treat the cat respectfully and to only chase the cat when she invites her to play. Mika has learned she loves to go for rides in a milk crate strapped to a bicycle rack and that she loves playdates in the backyard with her new doggy neighbors. It has been a tough couple of months for the whole family, especially my wife who struggles with anxiety and wasn't sure we were up for the challenge of taking in an unsocialized, untrained and fearful dog. But the progress in the last two months has been amazing and the dog trainer assures us that with continued hard work from us and Mika, that Mika has the potential to be a "lovely" dog. She is well on her way! Thank you to Underdog Rescue of Madison, for collecting Mika as a stray in Tennessee and bringing her up here to Wisconsin. Jac Sherry (she/her) |
