Wow, that went fast! Summer is done and school has started in our community. Time to get busy. I'm busy working on a challenge quilt project, some new patterns, and talking with some of you about the “Quilter's Letter of Instructions” I shared in the last newsletter. Also - some fun new quilty treasures in the shop.

Quilt Challenges

Today's topic: Quilt Challenges. I’m currently working on a Quilt Challenge project. It’s had me stumped this time around. I thought I had a great idea that would perfectly fit the theme of the challenge (Heritage on a Small Scale). I had so many sketched-out ideas and thoughts about how to bring my idea to life. Nope - didn’t like any of them. None of them felt right.

That frustration got me thinking about Quilt Challenges in general and why would I subject myself to this process. Here’s the thing - I love a good challenge, and a quilt challenge is right up my alley. It could be the same for you. …

Thank you

While most of the events I list in the event calendar are local to the Pacific Northwest, I also like to list the info for the big national (or international) shows. The International Quilt Festival is held each fall in Houston. Quilters come from all over the world to attend this show. Get all the details in the Quiltblox Event Calendar - Read More …

Thank you so much for joining me in the pursuit of creativity and for being a valued part of the Quiltblox Creative Community
I look forward to seeing what you're working on and sharing what I'm working on with you - until then - all the best to you!
