How did you learn to narrate audiobooks?

 

 

 

 

 

MC:

I was an emcee for live events for 17 years previously, so the foundation was already there. But audiobooks are a different animal. You're in studio doing long form narration, isolated, versus speaking to an audience and improvising. So, they're night and day. I listened to the pros and trained and then that's never really stopped.

What's your favorite part of the process?

 

 

 

 

MC:

My favorite aspect of narrating is actually the dialog and transitions. It's what's most like film/TV dialog or lines, so... most fun for me and probably my strength

MC:

I can rotate a razor blade in my mouth without getting cut. I did it on film once.
