From the Mayor's Desk
It has been a busy month as summer comes to a close. I want to say thank you to our hardworking team in our Recreation and Cultural Arts Department for their work to bring great programming such as the Summer Movie Series to all corners of our great city. Furthermore, if you didn't have the chance to attend National Night Out, you missed the absolute best community celebration around! I spoke with a number of law enforcement officials and others who had attended various NNO events in the area and all of them said ours was heads and shoulders above the rest. I hope you'll join me in thanking our amazing community police officers and the rest of our public safety team for everything they did for the event - and all they do every single day to keep our city safe.

Looking forward, I hope you'll join us for our Third Annual Senior Summit on September 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center. This event is an opportunity to get information from community partners such as the Fulton County District Attorney's Office, Fulton County Senior Services, AARP and more. We are grateful to CleanSpark, Aetna and Piper Sandler for their support. Please call 404-669-3755 or e-mail dcalloway@collegeparkga.com to reserve your spot. This is also the way to get a one-on-one time with me if you'd like to connect. Please don't hesitate to reach out - we are here to serve!

 WARD BY WARD
We're thrilled to share that KidsFest was an incredible success! From back-to-school excitement to games, dancing, and community fun. The kids enjoyed a day of fun they won't soon forget. Our Councilmen joined the festivities, adding to the excitement by posing for photos with our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

We would like to thank everyone who made this event a memorable one, from the volunteers to the participants, and of course, Spider-Man, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, Storm, and Princess Tiana!

Neighborhood meetings and Town Hall meetings are the perfect forums to connect, discuss, and make a difference.

At Councilman Clay's neighborhood meeting residents met with various department heads to discuss current and future projects. It was an incredible opportunity to have open conversations, share ideas, and strengthen our community bond.

Councilman Gay's Citywide Ward 4 Town Hall Meeting and Back to School Event consisted of important discussions and exciting giveaways. We came together as a community to share ideas and celebrate the upcoming school year with a fantastic book bag and school supplies giveaway.

Check our socials and website calendar for more community events coming your way.
