Happy Sunday!

I hope you had a nice week. Mine was full of surprises! Some anticipated and some not. Surprises can be good, though, to keep us on our toes and aware that things can change in a moment.

BOOK TALK
I've got lots of book news for you because we're kicking September off with a BANG!

First off, the Mermaids are 50% off this weekend. Snag your copy of DEAD IN THE WATER for $3.99 through tomorrow!

…and if you missed it, there's a NEW Barnes & Noble exclusive edition of DESIGNER DIRTY LAUNDRY! This includes chapters from Nick Taylor's point of view! It's available in both print and ebook, and gives the book slightly more of a rom com vibe. Perfect gift for your friends who like a dash of romance and he said/she said with their caper/mysteries :)

Of course, neither of those two things were actual surprised to me because I was instrumental in the planning and execution. But this next one was a definite surprise: the Harlequin edition of PILLOW STALK came out!

LIFE TALK
I am not a hands-off person. There have been a lot of times when I wish I were, because having my fingers in every pie leads to, well, to sticky fingers, among other things.

For a long time, I felt like I had to do everything myself. And that's a lonely place to be. It feels like the rest of the world has some support system and we're on the outside looking in.

Recently, I've seen things differently. I get to decide what happens when, and how, and why. I can change things on a dime. I can do as much or as little as I want.

Everything in life has two sides, and if we focus on the negative, we'll always feel like others have something we never got. But when we look at the very same situation through a different lens, we can often see that we got exactly what it was that we needed.

We get to have whatever we want, we just need to know what we want--and why. And if our fingers get overly sticky? We can always wash them :)

xo!
