Hey, First name / friends!
It was so fun to see all your pumpkin illustrations last week! I think it’s safe to say that we’re all ready for Fall! Here are just a few of the #CreateWithCatCoq submissions from last week’s challenge.

#CreateWithCatCoq - Metallic Accents
One of my favorite ways to add extra pizazz to my illustrations is by infusing metallic textures into key parts of the piece.

Your challenge this week is to add some sparkle to a new or existing illustration with metallic textures! Not sure where to find a good metallic texture? I’ve got you covered! I have eight metallic textures that you can download for free here! Bonus, these are all royalty free for commercial use, so you can use them in your professional illustrations!

Adding metallic textures to your illustrations may seem like a complicated process, but it’s actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it. I have lots of tutorials to help walk you through the process step by step.

And the best part? You can add metallics to your work no matter what medium you use!

Adding metallic textures in Procreate
You can easily add metallic textures to your artwork in Procreate without having to splurge on any fancy metallic brush sets! All you need is one of the free metallic textures I’ve provided above! I have a brand new blog post that walks you through the process of adding metallic textures in Procreate here.

Adding metallic textures in Photoshop
I add metallic textures to my analog artwork by digitizing the painting in Photoshop and adding metallics from there. You can learn how to add metallic textures in Photoshop in this blog post.
