Dear First name / friend

It's been a busy few weeks – settling into my new space, seeing clients in said space, as well as teaching 4 public classes at Sage Yoga Studios.

I've also been ‘tinkering’ a bit more with my website. I've added  another page to check out under the Resources tab called “Book Recommendations”. Many students and clients ask for book suggestions, so I looked at my end table and found six that I would recommend to any level of yoga practitioner.  So, check this new page out !

If you've been in any of my classes, you've heard me talk about the value of sharing compliments - as in, you may affect someone's life with a few words of appreciation. I received similar words last week. Words that tell me I am in the right place as a Yoga Therapist. Thank you to that person.

on my end table:
THE HEALTH CATALYST by Avanti Kumar-Singh, M.D. One of the books I've listed on my ‘Book Recommendations’ list and one I've read before. I picked it up a few days ago and began to re-read it. Basically, it is taking me into the Ayurveda world. If you go to my blog, the most recent post defines Ayurveda and speaks a bit more about this book. An easy and informative read.

MY SISTER'S KEEPER by Jodi Picoult. As I began reading this book, it seemed familiar. I don't think I had read it before, but I do think I must have seen the movie. Nevertheless, I kept reading. Often I'd like to read the book first, then see the movie, if there is one – for me it offers details that movies may leave out. This turned out to be true here, but as I read some of the gaps were filled in.

for more light reading:
  1. A new newsletter to suggest - THE SPRUCE. Many ideas for home decorating or remodeling, cleaning, gardening, organizing, etc.
  2. Vegetables for dessert?
  3. Cup of Jo newsletter — lots of interesting and fun articles and links.
  4. And, my recent blog posts are available for reading.

Until next time,
Leslie
