Can't get over this feeling! Our environments impact our mood, and I got a reminder last month with our primary closet upgrade. Below are the details of our process to my newest happy place! 
 

July: Researched and decided on the Elfa Décor line for our closet.

August 2: Met with Colleen, a virtual designer at The Container Store. She asked us a few questions about our desires for the space and we shared measurements, photos and videos.

August 3: Approved this design, and Colleen ordered our closet product.

August 10 – 14: Decluttered and moved clothing to a temporary rack, dismantled closet, repaired walls, and painted. Exhausting, yes, but I couldn't imagine installing our new closet on patchy walls. Watch it here.

August 17: Picked up closet product from my local Container Store.

August 21: Don installed our closet in 3 hours! He checked in with me to ensure he was honoring our design. See it here.  

August 21 – 30: I spent a week organizing and selecting our organizing products! Here are the products.  

Receipt: I estimate twenty hours for preparing and organizing our closet, and the cost is: closet materials $3,687.50, installation $1,106.25, and product $550.80. 

All in $5,343.75.
