Coventry BID have been working in partnership with Coventry University to deliver a safety night-time economy briefing to draw students into our night-time economy venues and familiarise them with the city centre. The briefing was held at Coventry University’s Richard Crossman building where our safety and security manager, Jo and Sian delivered a presentation which covered the following areas:

✔️Personal Safety
✔️Responsible drinking
✔️Nighttime Economy
✔️Challenge 25
✔️Ask for Angela

Students were then taken on a walking tour of the venues. BID team members were stationed around the city centre to welcome them and answer any questions they had about the area and how to stay safe whilst enjoying our bars, clubs and pubs.

The Safety in the Nighttime Economy event served multiple purposes. Firstly, to help students get to know the city they will be living in. More importantly, it helps them understand how to stay safe and look after each other on a night out.

We are excited have welcomed students back to the city this weekend and we encourage you to continue to share any student focused events so that we can help to advertise them for you. Please email any information over to marketing@coventrybid.co.uk.
