Last weekend I turned 32! 
 
New year, new newsletter format.
 
Have you noticed that the best newsletters in the game have a reliable, consistent format? Over the years, my newsletters have taken on different forms and as of lately they have become a bit chaotic for my Virgo taste. 🤪
 
I've been meditating on what to do about it and the message finally came through… self-mastery.
 
So I moseyed over to my loyal personal assistant, ChatGPT, and asked.. how do you define self-mastery?

Self-mastery is the ability to control, understand, and manage oneself, including one's thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and impulses. It involves gaining a deep level of self-awareness and self-control to effectively navigate life's challenges and pursue personal growth and goals. 
 
Self-mastery is not about suppressing emotions or becoming infallible; rather, it's about developing the skills and mindset to respond to situations and circumstances in a constructive and intentional way.
 
Key aspects of self-mastery include:
 
1. Self-Awareness: Understanding your own strengths, weaknesses, values, beliefs, and motivations. This awareness is the foundation for personal growth and change.
 
2. Self-Regulation: The ability to manage and regulate your emotions, impulses, and reactions. It means having control over your responses rather than reacting impulsively.
 
3. Self-Discipline: The capacity to set and work toward goals, even in the face of challenges, distractions, or temptations. It involves maintaining focus and consistency in your actions.
