I set an intention for my week.

One of three key habits.

Setting an intention for your week is a powerful practice. It's an act of stating what you intend to accomplish through your actions. It's a commitment you make to yourself about how you want to show up and have your week unfold.

I like to think of it this way:
  1. How do I want to feel?
  2. How do I want to be?
  3. What do I want to do?
Feel, be and do.

Keep it simple and state it in the form of a positive affirmation. It can be a SINGLE WORD you repeat yourself throughout the week. It could be a "love letter" you write to yourself each morning. A pep talk.

Here's an example from me: I am going to have the most amazing week! I wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I move through my day with grace and ease. I choose to take care of my mind and body with positive thoughts.

Setting an intention keeps you focused on your goals, but it's more about the PROCESS instead of the outcome. It's the "how" behind achieving your goals.

Thought creates, so we need to choose good ones.

I invite you to log into our 365 space every Monday and share your intention for the week in the comments because 1) it will help you become accountable to yourself and 2) it will inspire fellow TRIO/McNair students to share theirs.

Our 365 community space is all about uplifting and encouraging one another. Sharing in the practice of setting our intention for the week is one of three KEY HABITS we routinely share here in this space. ✨

BONUS! Each time you leave a comment, you get entered into our fall monthly raffle to win a $50 Amazon gift card! 🍂
