From the Director's Desk
Australians will soon vote on a constitutional amendment to establish the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, a body to advise the government on matters relating to Indigenous Peoples. Support for the Voice has declined since last year, and it now appears the amendment might fail. But there is still time to turn the tide: voting day is October 14.

Unamendability in Translation
My papers on unamendable constitutional rules have been translated into Persian and published as a book by Iranian publisher Majd. The title in English is Constitutional Unamendability in Theory and Practice.

A Visit from Carlos Bernal
Last week, Carlos Bernal spoke with students in my course on Constitutional Amendments in the U.S. and the World about the doctrine of unconstitutional amendment. He shaped the doctrine as a scholar and later applied it as a judge on the Constitutional Court of Colombia.
