Hi friends, Here are two things I would like to improve by the end of the year: - The clutter status at my house.
I will do this by: - Decluttering 10 minutes daily as part of the evening routine and putting in more time during weekends.
- Tracking decluttering on habit trackers.
- Using my small WhatsApp decluttering group for accountability.
The relationship status with my kids. I will do this by: - Sleeping well to guard my patience.
- Keeping my phone away until they are in bed.
- Keeping story time 3 or 4 nights a week, not less.
- Asking for upfront help from hubby explicitly, clearly, and frequently.
- Reading parenting books regularly, even for a few minutes on Audible app every day.
- Sharing challenges with the parenting book club group I am a part of and encouraging virtual monthly meetings again.
- When making mistakes, attempt to repair them as soon as possible.
What about you? Are there sources of dissatisfaction in your life that keep pulling at you that you can turn into focus areas for the coming 105 days of the year? Yup! That's how many days are left in 2023. Note that these actions are habits I want more of in my life. I will never say, "I am done decluttering," or "I am done working on my relationship with kids." What I am saying is that I need to give more time to these habits and keep tracking them until I feel better about them. Then, keep doing them some more. What needs more of your time? |

3. 💭 I love powerful questions, this one encourages reflection as a springboard to create a different future: |
|
“Here’s a question I want you to think about as we talk about this idea of reflection: Would you rather stay stuck living in the past, in a life that no longer exists? or Would you rather celebrate the many things you’ve already been through—the good and the bad—so you can start to live your future?” ―Tanya Dalton, On Purpose |
