Real (approachable) Style Advice for Real (grown-up) Women with
Real (smart) Budgets

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2023

Hi Friends!

It was a quiet, relaxing weekend, and I'm finally facing the fact that Fall is pretty much here. I'm sure we'll have some more warm and sunny weather, 🤞🏼 but I'm ready to start embracing all I love about Fall.

Hurricane Lee brought us heavy winds Friday and rain Friday night into Saturday morning, but by Saturday afternoon the sun was out and Sunday was a picture-perfect late-summer day.

On Sunday, Bill and I took a bike ride over to Ocean Cliff on Ocean Drive.

Fun fact – this where we had planned to have our wedding reception 30 years ago… But while meeting with a photographer she gave us inside info that the resort was about to file for Chapter 11.

We changed course immediately and it all worked out in the end. Of course a developer bought it years ago, and now it's spectacular (and I'm sure a heck of a lot more expensive than 30 years ago;)  We were able to spy on a wedding in progress!

Here's a shot of the sea wall Friday night, and Ocean Cliff on Sunday.  Today the rain is back…Talk about a lucky bride and groom!

Now, for what went on this week at B.Styled.

1. TIPSY TUESDAY: Jeans & Shoes: Perfect Pairings:
One of the most common questions I get, especially during the Fall, is about what shoe/boot to wear with different denim styles. I talked about that on this week's Tipsy Tuesday, and made a one-page guide to help you. Click the video to catch the replay…
(and enjoy the fast forward button you don't get live. 😉

Fyi Tipsy Tuesday happens at 1pm on Tuesdays on my
B.Styled Personal Styling Facebook Page…you can go here to be notified when I go live.

2. EARLY FALL OUTFIT TIPS
Tuesday was the first time I put on jeans in ages (and I admit I took them off immediately after the Jeans & Shoes video;)

TIP:
Even if it's hot where you are, I recommend at least trying on your fall jeans and pants to make sure they'll work for you this Fall. Pants (and shoes) are the hardest, so don't put off this exercise.

The Fall Style Group is a place to get help and recommendations on this!

TIP:
This time of year, I like to balance long pants with sleeveless or short-sleeves.
In reverse, if I'm baring my legs in shorts or a dress, I'll wear light long sleeves.

3. PRE-SEASON STYLE CHALLENGE:

Over in the Fall Style System, I'm running Pre-Season Daily Challenges to help us get ready for FALL, reset our habits, and #justgetdressed.

On Thursday the Challenge was to “Determine YOUR Shade of Red”.
It was fun to see the various shades from raspberry to burgundy to coral-reds to true reds and how they worked with members' coloring.

This red floral dress from Amazon has been a huge hit in the group (also in the blue 10 and green 002) …I had to lecture the group not to buy multiples of it!

If you're lost trying to figure out your best colors, I highly recommend Jeanne, the Color Guru. My members and and followers have had great results getting their “colors done” virtually from the comfort of home.

Click HERE to learn more and use my code bstyled for a discount.

I'll be going LIVE with Jeanne on the Your Color Guru Instagram account this Tuesday at 12:30, so join us there!
And make sure you're following me over on IG too! @b.styled

And come join the Fall Style System so you get a daily dose of inspiration and accountability (and so much more!).

4. INCREDIBLE SOFT PANTS TO TAKE YOU THROUGH FALL &  WINTER…and into Spring!

This gorgeous, real-life “model” is a petite 5'3". Doesn't she look incredible?
Scroll down to see the pieces on another “model” - 5'2" Cara in XL's.

I just received the Unwind Pant (above) and the lavender Park City Pullover (below) from Cabi. I love the pants with the Hope Pullover (above) but I don't own that top, so I paired it with some of my neutral sweaters and tops.

These ivory soft pants (and the black Chargo Pants below) definitely pass my versatility test…not mention the comfort factor. And the fabric in both is something you need to see and feel and in person to appreciate. Definitely next level quality.
Some of these pieces are new releases, that are available for pre-order this Tuesday, so just respond to this email if you'd like information or to reserve anything from the new collection. See the main fall collection HERE.

I played around with some wear - now, wear - later looks. I came up with 12 looks from my closet with the unwind pants.

I'm making a reel this week (God help me;), but here are a few looks:

And here is the Hope Pullover and Park City Pullover on the fabulous Cara Sievers. She's 5'2" and wearing the Hope (oatmeal) in an XL and the Park City (lavender) in an XXL (xl would be better).
She's wearing my favorite black pants of the season, the CHARGOS in an XL. Gorgeous!

Hit reply if you want help with sizing or fit or recommendations for any of the
 CAbi Fall line…it's spectacular!

Thanks for being here. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
And tomorrow, wake up, move your bod, and #justgetdressed. ✅👍🏼
