SO…. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW, we have been renovating an entire home for the last year! It's been a huge project and honestly one I didn't realize would take quite as much time as I thought it took. From working with the architect to bring my vision to life, to going to the site weekly to ensure everything was running smoothly, to picking up tile/finished/paint – it's been a blessing but alot of work! And honestly, I haven't been as present until now on social media because your girl has been TIRED! I just want to keep it real with you all because truly, I wouldn't be doing what I love and sharing all of my shopping finds without all of you supporting me every day - so it's time I step it up!

As a taurus (yes, I believe in astrology lol) I definitely value my routines and my home. My home is honestly like a sanctuary for me and I haven't had it. The rental we were living in for the last year was in chaos, I felt like i was building a home that honestly wasn't mine (I even had dreams about someone else living in it and not David & I LOL) and I had zero routine. So when May & June rolled around this year we were putting the finishing touches on the home, I was anxiously packing, and sure enough - July hit and we were moving. I basically took as much time as I could without completely disappearing in July & August off to get my life together - I truly envy the people who can do both! And now I am FINALLY feeling like this house is turning into a home. 

With all this being said, I soft launched my home account @queencarlenehome and so far you guys have been loving it! I am going to be sharing more and more over there about the renovation journey, the choices I made for design/finishes, how I decorate, etc! I never realized how passionate my love for interior design was until this entire process, so I am grateful I get to have an avenue to share everything with all of you! I'm also very excited to get back into a routine while continuing to build the community we already have in our little corner of the internet.

Something else has been exciting as well! Over the last few weeks I've decided I focus more on facebook! Right?! Who would have thought LOL It's grown quite fast this past week so I wanted to be share to let you guys know to come join the fun! Sometimes it's hard to post on IG stories all day every day, so the best way to find the deals will be on the facebook page! It is a public page and isn't a closed group, so you can feel free to share it with your friends & family! I cannot wait to hang out with you guys more over there, it's already felt more like a community this week and can only imagine that as we grow, it will continue to feel this way!
