ADAPT OR DIE
DAY 1 PLENARY

We’re coming out of the gates with a big one to open Purpose Conference. Let’s tell it like it is - things are looking pretty grim. But acknowledging the pickle we're in, and focussing on adaptation at the same time as working on challenges like net zero can be a salve. A climate adapted world is, in many ways, a brighter one as we'll find out in this session. Our line up of brilliant perspectives for this session will be jolting, yet will fill you with the hope for breakthrough, before we get stuck into two very purposeful days.

YARNING CIRCLE
DAY 2 - LUNCHTIME POWER SESSION

In this very special session, we hand over to star facilitator Larissa Minniecon from we are the mainstream, a Kabi Kabi, Gureng Gureng, Ambrym and Zenadth Kes woman, to lead us in a yarning circle to promote dialogue, understanding, empathy and trust.

The world needs more of this right now - and it begins here.

the disinformation age
DAY 1 - AFTERNOON

Those who have attended Purpose before will know that responsible technology is a recurring theme. Our program has covered topics like AI ethics, the attention economy and the relationship between technology and human wellbeing. Now, we are in an era where trust, truth and democracy are being eroded, we are well and truly in the disinformation age. This creates a new frontier of corporate responsibility, liability, governance and responsible investing. We'll explore this theme from multiple angles.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“Everyone I know is sick of me saying, “Every job is a climate job’.”

- Joel Hanna, Sustain.Life
(formerly Xero’s Sustainability Global Project Lead and Purpose panellist).

MEET OUR PARTNERS: POLESTAR

Polestar has an ambitious aim to create a carbon neutral EV by 2030 (including its manufacturing and supply chain, not just tail-pipe emissions) and they are looking at their business from every angle to get there. Their Pathway Report (created alongside Rivian and Kearney) is their map towards action and has led to a project known as Project 0. We’re excited to be working with Polestar to help present Purpose 2023.
