CANVAS by Jotun Color Happy |
We are thrilled to unveil the latest masterpiece from Jotun, and we couldn't be more excited to share the news! The launch of CANVAS by Jotun is a remarkable fusion of artistry, sustainability, and an immersive journey through the wonders of nature. CANVAS by Jotun isn't just another collection, it's a testament to the brand's commitment to sustainability and its reverence for the natural world. In line with this, C'est ici Design took the reins to infuse the event with the essence of nature. We meticulously crafted bespoke pieces using raw materials like brick and stone, blending them seamlessly with styling elements of greenery and natural materials like shells, sand, rocks and all the in between, highlighting the importance of connecting to our environment. |
The event was an exploration of three distinct themes: the enchanting forest, the serene ocean, and the mysterious desert. Each theme was meticulously designed to captivate the senses and transport guests to these unique natural settings. |
Customer Experience: Awakening the 6 Senses At the Jaipur Rugs Showroom in Al Serkal Avenue, guests had the incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in a sensory journey like no other- the allure of the forest, the tranquillity of the ocean, and the mystique of the desert. The biggest awards ceremony of its kind in the region aimed to recognise excellence in design across the Middle East and North Africa. Over 900 industry experts and creative visionaries attended CID’s flagship event and a total of 31 stunning crystal trophies were handed out, divided into diverse categories. It is with a full heart and extreme joy that we can place C’est ici Design amongst one of those winners. Our beautiful project “The House” won the prize for best Interior Design of the Year for F&B (Casual). Scroll down to read more about it. |
The House, a 285-square meter coffee studio in Sharjah designed by Inter-disciplinary design firm C’est Ici is “an antidote to our fast-paced, on-the-go culture.” A dream project of Emirati barista, Mansoor Al Omani, The House is the only café of its kind in the Emirate dedicated to the art of coffee making. The House is a surprising cohesion of contrasting styles where brutalist mixes freely with organic elements and the classic with rustic. Approached with a brief to create a café with an ambience “as warm, grounded, earthy and balanced as the perfect cup of coffee”, C’est Ici responded with an efficient open plan and chic interior design style brimming with character. A full-service turnkey project from design to execution, the C'est ici signature style is evident in every detail of the project. BALANCING ACT A touch of Herringbone with KAHRS |
Casa Mia underwent a transformative upgrade with the installation of Herringbone Oak AB White oil flooring from the Kahrs Master range. This two-layer engineered wood, known for its clean oak appearance with subtle color variations and small knots, was seamlessly installed using Kahrs' glue-down technique, executed with unmatched precision by their installation team. Kahrs, a trusted supplier renowned for impeccable product quality, once again delivered. The oak floors redefined the entrance space, providing a timeless and warm base for the carefully curated furnishings and art objects that now graced Casa Mia. |
The oak floors acted as a balancing act, bridging the gap between the bold pops of color present in the furnishings and artworks. They provide a timeless and warm backdrop, where every piece found its perfect place. The new floors breathed life into Casa Mia, creating an inviting and harmonious atmosphere that welcomed all who stepped inside. This transformation was more than just a renovation; it was the embodiment of a vision come to life, where beauty and function coexisted in perfect harmony. |
