Hello, First name / my friend!
I am so excited to share some fun news with you! I'm
collaborating with Novel Grounds to bring you the coziest
In a Jam autumn starter pack ever. T-shirts, sweatshirts, joggers--so cute, so comfy! These items are only available for a limited time so if you need some Little Star Farms/Friendship, RI/Twin Tulip gear, this is your chance!
Aside from all the fabulous goodies, I want to talk to you about a few book recommendations. Some of us are suddenly in our football romance eras and there are three series that I need you to know about.
1 -
The Gridiron Series by Jen Frederick. The first book in this series,
Sacked, is one of my all-time favorite reads. It features an
inexperienced footballer, a football-loving love interest, and a very memorable supporting cast. It's funny, it's emotional, it's steamy, and there were quite a few surprises along the way. The thing about Jen Frederick is that
this girl knows her football--which might not be important to you as we don't all read sports romance for the sports but you can tell this book was written by a true fan. This series is available in KU!
2 -
The Playbook Series by Alexa Martin. This series is a lot of fun. It starts off in the world of football wives and girlfriends, which is familiar territory to Alexa Martin as she's married to a former NFL player herself, and that authenticity shines through. These books are smart, funny, and spicy. Highly recommend.
Fumbled is favorite with a single mom crossing paths with a footballer, as is
Snapped with a very strong female lead working in male-dominated sports coming up against star quarterback.
3 -
Game On Series by Kristen Callihan. I fell so hard for this series when it released! Kristen Callahan writes amazing stories so you must check out her catalog but this is such a great place to start. These books are deeply layered and dimensional, and still pack in a ton of heat, heart, and humor. They start in college but then move with the friend group to professional football. The first in the series,
The Hook Up, is a perfect he-falls-first read, the second, The Friend Zone, is excellent for friend group to lovers--which is different in my mind from friends-to-lovers--and then The Game Plan, with another
inexperienced hero.
The Hot Shot is the final book in the series with a pro footballer and a sports photographer for something along the lines of Sports Illustrated's Body Issue spread. It's a fun setup.
If you haven't read any of these yet, I hope you find something new to love in there!
