Becoming intentional

As an academic in the social sciences, my quest for wisdom amidst the pages of countless books has been a lifelong journey, driven by the desire to uncover the elusive recipe for a well-balanced life—one filled with joy, connection, and fulfillment. I've always believed that there were hidden gems within the lines of those volumes, just waiting for a curious enough soul to discover them.

My journey led me to graduate school, where I eagerly pursued the path of becoming a therapist, convinced that it would finally unveil the secrets I longed for. But much to my dismay, I quickly learned that life's most profound lessons weren't neatly packaged in textbooks.

What compounded my frustration was that my professors, in their serene wisdom, consistently emphasized that "there actually are no easy answers." My frustration knew no bounds.
