Happy October! Spooky season is in full swing, so I thought it would be fun to do another Halloween-themed challenge to kick things off this month. 

 

You may be thinking that Halloween motifs like our pumpkin challenge from a few weeks ago was a little premature, but when it comes to surface design and art licensing, it's always a good idea to be thinking ahead. You want to make sure your portfolio is ready for upcoming holidays so that licensing partners and customers can pick up your work before the holiday happens!

Your challenge this week is to create an illustration featuring bats! Share your bats on Instagram with the hashtag #CreateWithCatCoq so I can like, comment, and share your work!

I painted these simple bats in watercolor, digitized them, and arranged them into a pattern in Photoshop.
