Picture this, First name / friend...
You spend hours and pour your heart and soul into creating jaw-dropping, mind-blowing content for your audience.
You craft the perfect carousel, film the best reel, and even record some really catchy Instagram stories so that your message resonates with your audience even more.
You post the content and then Instagram being the lovely little app that it is has an uNexPeCteD glitch and that content gets deleted… forever.
Sounds like an absolute nightmare, right? 🥴
Well it was…
That’s exactly what happened to MILLIONS of Instagram users last Halloween.
We said spooky season and Meta said hold my pumpkin spice latte. 👻
I’ll honestly never forget that day.
People were freaking out because not only were they losing their content, but they were also losing their followers and some even lost their account altogether.
Some got everything back… but some didn’t.
And guess what? There’s NOTHING they could do about it.
It’s because of scenarios like this ⤴️ that I always preach blogs first, socials second.
I didn’t just choose that as my motto because I’m a blog writer and it sounds cute.
NO – I chose that as my motto because when you adopt that as your content strategy, not only does it make your content creation easier all around, it also helps you avoid (or at least have a backup plan) for spooky situations like above.
And listen, I get it. Most of us loveeee social media (myself included) so it can be really hard to make this switch.
But nowhere did I say you have to give up your social media altogether! Heckkkk no, it can be a great tool to grow your business.
What I AM saying is to possibly consider moving social media a little lower on your priority list when it comes to content creation and make your life a little easier along the way.
Here’s what this can look like 👇🏼
