Dear First name / friend

Today was one of those days I'd like to repeat and repeat and repeat.

First on my schedule was to teach a Fundamentals Class. It went well and I truly enjoy the community that has been created not just by this class, but by Sage Yoga. It warms my heart to walk into the room and hear students sharing information about happenings in the community with one another, and welcoming the new person to the group.

I went to my office afterwards for an appointment. Be still my heart! The gentleman coming to see me chatted and laughed, then we did a bit of work during which I talked about hips. All of a sudden, he is making his way to the floor !?!?!? He has not done that in my presence before (or been willing to).

Once there, he lay back and we proceeded to do some hamstring stretching, moving on to succirandrasana (thread the needle). Then – the moment of truth – got to get back up. We took it slow, step by step (roll to his side, push to sitting, come to hands & knees, and - placing hands on chair - he stepped one foot in, then the other and stood up). I am still smiling!

Not just that he did all of the above, but that he was brave enough to give it a try.

MONDAYS, THURSDAYS            Afternoon Appointments Available
WEDNESDAYS, FRIDAYS           Late Morning or Afternoon Appointments Available

MY SCHEDULE FOR PUBLIC CLASSES AT SAGE YOGA STUDIOS:
MONDAYS & THURSDAYS         10:30am          Aligned Yoga Class (75 minutes in Fallbrook)
TUESDAYS                                    9:00am          Gentle Yoga (60 minutes in Bonsall)
FRIDAYS                                        9:00am          Yoga Fundamentals (60 minutes in Bonsall)

on my end table:
Nutrition Concept & Controversies, 16ed. by Frances Sienkiewicz Sizer | Ellie Whitney. Yup, you read that right – there is no word like ‘yoga’ in the title. It's my new challenge - as I've enrolled in a one-year course at Univ. of California, San Diego. This education will offer me the opportunity to communicate more intelligently with clients about nutrition, if asked. I'll probably be reading this one for a while.

The Silent Tenant by Clemance Michellan. A thriller and a study of trauma, survival and the dynamics of power. A page-turner.

Until next time,
Leslie
