Own the Ordinary: Agreements v. Expectations
Clear communication helps solve a lot of problems. Here is one communication tool I use to make sure I’m not holding people accountable for things they’re unaware of.

3 Tips to Boost Your Confidence
  • Wear things that make you feel great. If that means you only wear 20% of your closet - so be it. Get rid of the rest.
  • Play your own game. Stop looking at others’ progress and outcomes as a barometer for your own success. In this stage of life, what does good look like for you?
  • Authentically give someone else a compliment. Choosing to see others at their best takes the attention away from my insecurities and onto someone else.

65% of you feel guilty, overwhelmed and that there is ‘not enough time’
Thank you for your feedback on my dual career family course survey. I’m amazed by the response and excited to continue to build this course to help you go from feeling like you are living a life of ‘have to’ to feeling like you are living a life of ‘want to.’

To help you know you’re not alone - here are 3 stats from the survey that resonated with me.
  • 36% stated that they are struggling with juggling kids’ schedules.
  • 38% of people said they feel like there is “not enough time” to do it all: Work, Self, Marriage, Family, Home. Something always has to give.
  • 32% mentioned that relationship stress with your spouse is an ongoing issue.
I hear you, and I’ve been there. We’ll be announcing the launch date soon. If you’re not on the beta list, you can sign up here.

If figuring out childcare isn’t currently on your list - whew! Congratulations. If you know of someone who is in the thick of it, this episode is a great share. After a summer of no help with the kids - we’re back to a nanny (more accurately, a nanny-share) and it’s going great.

I sat down and recorded the process we went through to find qualified candidates and my step-by-step interview process. This is the sixth nanny we have hired - so we’ve learned a few things!

Thanks for embracing this Life of And with me.
