Hello First name / brilliant breather—
It has been a heartbreaking week on this planet earth. I have typed and retyped this second sentence, over many a breath cycle, searching for the ideal antidote. I don't know what that is, but I do know that breathing, especially with
loving-kindness can be an anchor. It's a practice I've done since the spring of this year to acknowledge and feel the grief arising from loss in my life and the collective's.
May this
loving-kindness breath flow provide you with minutes of slowness to pause, witness, and be with the depth and breadth of your humanness.
In this season of the exhale amidst a world whose nervous system is afire, I invite you to breathe and get curious about what is intertwined in those inhales and exhales of yours. To witness what is happening in your heart, mind, and body.
Here are some upcoming Slo Breathworks' explorations to gently play with your breath.
- October Virtual Breath Break on October 23rd at 12pm EST. We'll be practicing the 4:4:6 breath in this 15-minute breath break.
- October Mindful Meetup on October 26th at 5pm EST at Pitney Meadows in Saratoga Springs, NY. The focus is forward folds and long, meandering exhales to surrender and shed. Mhmm.
- Elixirs & Exhales at Refuge Event Space in Troy, NY on November 4th at 10am-12pm EST. This is a breath pairing with four amazing Ambrosia elixirs. There will be space to play with your breath as a group and on your own! All five of your senses will be immersed. Read more and sign up.
- Evening Exhale at Yoga Mandali in Saratoga Springs, NY on November 10th from 6-7pm EST. We will explore what our exhales are holding and emphasize slowing down to ease into the weekend. Register here.
