It's almost Jingle Ball Time and tickets go on sale this Friday!
To say I'm thrilled to be part of The Jingle Ball this year is a major understatement! As an attendee last year (at the very first Jingle Ball) I saw just how fantastic and special this virtual event is!  Not only is it full of energy, excitement and creativity, but the sense of community is probably my favorite part!

If you're not familiar with The Jingle Ball, it's a Christmas themed virtual event that happens December 1st-3rd and it is 100% online, meaning anyone, from anywhere is welcome to participate! You don't need to go anywhere to enjoy all of the events and it's a great way to celebrate the season with the stitching community. What's extra nice about the Jingle ball is that you can celebrate the 3 day event however you'd like; cozy and quietly in your home. gathered with friends both IRL and virtually, or however you can imagine!

All you need to do to enjoy The Jingle Ball is purchase one $10 admission ticket per person, which go on sale this Friday at 7pm est and can be purchased until the event is in full swing! No one should miss out on all that their ticket includes because IT IS GOOD! The following features are included with your general admission ticket:
  • ballroom entertainment
  • stitching rooms to visit with old and new friends
  • live meet and greets with each of the 12 participating designers
  • free classes

Hello From Liz Mathews

Once you've purchased a ticket to the ball you have the option to sign up for a virtual classes being taught by each of the designers.  The classes range in price, subject matter and style. I am certain you will find something you love!

Find all the details on each of the 12+ classes on The Jingle Ball website under the "classes" tabs. The schedule tab will also be really helpful because you don't want to double book yourself!

The really important thing I need to mention regarding classes is that many of the designers have a “kitted” class option available as well as a fully digital kit option. I suspect that the “kitted” (meaning physical products ship to you in the mail) will sell out quickly, so if you want the opportunity to get one of these please don't delay in buying your ticket and signing up for classes!

Both the Jingle Ball general admission tickets AND the classes go on sale Friday October 13th at 7pm est. Set your alarms!

If you're anything like me, you like to be prepared for things and have a game plan in place! Our fearless Jingle Ball leader; Steph of Lindy Stitches has a great video for you to watch that will help answer many questions you may have:

I am also happy to share this video with you, which details the two Hello From Liz Mathews classes being offered at The Jingle Ball! I hope you give it a watch and consider enrolling in one of them! I promise we'll have a great time!

Let's get in the holiday spirit and deck the halls with this festive Mini Wreath & Banner! Special touches like the wave of the banner and the frayed edges make this holiday decoration really stand out and bring back memories of Christmases past! These petite wreaths arrive with an ornament hanger but could easily be adapted to suit any kind of display you prefer.  You'll receive the pattern for all 5 banners shown in the photo and choose one to prestitch for the event, where we'll assemble and complete a mini wreath together! BONUS-  Liz will share with you many other ways you can use this pattern to create lots of fun holiday projects and gifts! And there's even an additional banner design not shown in the photographs that will be included in your pattern! The kit provides everything you need to assemble your own mini wreath including the 35 count exclusive hand-dyed Lugana evenweave fabric, but please note that threads are not provided in this kit. Such a small amount of thread is required and this project is a great way to use up stash or try something new you've had your eye on!
If you prefer to stitch on Aida this pattern could easily be adapted. You will need to provide a piece of 18 count fabric approximately 3 x 8 inches.

Pre-stitching is required if you'd like to finish your piece along with Liz during the workshop.
Attendees will need to have the following items on hand during the workshop: pre-stitching, iron + board, hot glue gun + glue, fabric scissors, paper scissors, pen.

There are two options available for this workshop so please select carefully:

  1. Festive Mini Wreath & Banner Kit and Workshop: includes Festive Mini Wreath and Banner patterns and ALL of the finishing materials needed to complete one wreath (attendees provide their own thead). Use the enclosed fabric to pre-stitch your piece and bring it to the live finishing class where we'll complete our wreath together. We'll add dimension to our banners, distress the edges and explore the many ways these patterns could be used for other projects.  Limited quantities are available and kits will be shipped to you.
  2. Festive Mini Wreath & Banner Supply List for Self-Sourcing, and Finishing Workshop: The Festive Mini Wreaths & Banner patterns and a full supply list will all be sent to you digitally. You can gather your own materials and do the pre-stitching in time to join us for the finishing workshop.  No physical products will be mailed to you. Because attendees will be self-sourcing materials some of the instructions provided in the workshop may not apply to what each person has sourced.

Liz has released a brand new tree design for the Jingle Ball and it's perfect to celebrate the Christmas season! Santa's Ride features Santa sailing through the night sky as snow falls softly on the village below. This pattern uses cross stitch and straight stitch to complete and is embellished with glittering metallic snowflakes! Whether you'd like to pre-stitch and finish the new pattern during the workshop, or finish a previously released HFLM tree, this class is perfect for you!
Please note: the images shown for this workshop feature the Santa's Night pre-stitching only which will be transformed into a tree during the event! Please reference the photos to see what the tree finishing for the workshop will look like.
