Horrified

Hey there, First name / friend. I am super excited to discuss my favorite games to play during spooky season with you this month. We're starting with Horrified!

Horrified can be played solo or up to 5 players. It takes about an hour. The strategy is considered medium light.

What's super cool about this game is that it's played with characters you already know - Dracula, Frankenstein & The Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, The Wolf Man, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. You'll play with just 3 of these monsters each game, so the various combinations make each game a little different.

Your goal is to defeat each monster before you run out of time. Each monster gets defeated differently and attacks differently. You'll each choose a character who has a special ability.

On your move, you'll take 4 actions. That could be moving, picking up items, or making moves to defeat the monsters. Then you'll draw a perk card (shown below). You'll add items to the board (the 3 at the top means 3 items), do the action on the card (Place Dr. Reed at the Institute), and then the monsters at the bottom (accidentally covered by my thumb) move towards the closest hero or villager and attack, if applicable. I won't go into much more detail, as it will make more sense when you start playing.

But that's it in a nutshell. You'll take turns until you either defeat all the monsters or you run out of time. If you have additional questions, you are always welcome to reply back to my emails.

More pictures because the artwork and figurines of this game are so good…

That's Horrified! What do you think? Let me know whenever you try this one!

If you love the idea of a Halloween co-op game, I also recommend Betrayal at the House on the Hill. It's a 1 vs. everyone else game, good for medium-weight strategy game lovers.

Both are on sale on Amazon today! Use my link below to grab em up.

Happy playing!
