Happy one year to my newsletter! It was November 2022  that I sent my first newsletter out. I hope it has been something you enjoy and look forward to opening every month. My intention was always for it to be a treat! 

 

Welcome to your eclipse hangover! Haha :) A lot has shifted and now it is time for it all to settle in so to speak. There are some reassessments still to do with this month being a 9 month in the deeply introspective 7 year so we aren't getting off too easily. We are out of the jarring energy of October for sure though! This month we kick off still in Scorpio Season (shedding, fighting our inner demons and traveling to the depths of ourselves - no biggie) and Saturn goes direct out the gate on 11/4 (more below) and that is always massive imo. These two things in tandem make me think of taking a deep look at who and what we dedicate our time energy and effort to and whether it is in alignment with healed parts of us or unhealed parts of us, past us or present us. What keeps you in repeated patterns that you'd like to break? How could you do the work to unstuck yourself? Expansive Sagittarius Season is on its way so let's dive deep and reevaluate so that we can make the bold, exciting moves in a more aligned energy. Scorpio Season is water energy which requires us to feel and reveal. Sag Season is fire energy which requires us to take action and find passion. 

 

 

11/4 - Saturn Direct (retrograde since 6/17).  I always give this a lot of attention. Saturn rules work, dedication, responsibility and stress. When retrograde, we get to re-work things that were already on our plates that need more attention. The frustrating part is that we don't feel like there is much new to be working on and can get sick of the slow motion inner foundation building - womp womp. But, we are all better off for it and are able to feel more on solid ground afterwards. For some this is nice - tending to familiar stress is better than getting hit with more, ay?  Now that it goes direct, you can think of it as a "get back to work" memo from the universe. If you've been feeling like you're wading through cosmic molasses or dealing with a series of life lessons, Saturn going direct can be a breath of fresh air. It's like the universe saying, "Okay, you've learned your lessons, now it's time to put that wisdom into action." So, when Saturn stations direct, it's time to roll up your sleeves, set some responsible goals, and start building the future you've been envisioning. It may not be all fun and games, but hey, Saturn's lessons are essential for personal growth. Just remember, slow and steady wins the race – Saturn isn't in a hurry, and neither should you be. Embrace the discipline, work hard, and you'll find your way to success. Saturn is at 0 degrees of Pisces - where this is in your chart is where the stress, lessons and maturing are happening. 

 

11/7 - Venus enters Libra - Where is Libra in your chart? This area of your life is getting charming, more easy and enjoyable. Venus rules Libra so this is a nice combo! When Venus enters Libra, it's all about beauty, balance, and relationships.

This cosmic event brings an extra dose of charm and diplomacy to our interactions. People may become more focused on creating harmony in their relationships, seeking fairness and compromise. It's a time when partnerships and collaborations get a boost, and we find ourselves drawn to art, fashion, and all things aesthetically pleasing. Enjoy the harmonious vibes and don't be surprised if your social calendar starts filling up!

 

11/9 Mercury enters Sagittarius. Where is Sag in your chart? This area is getting busy and your interest is focused here. Sagittarius is known for its adventurous and philosophical nature, and when Mercury, the planet of the mind, moves into this sign, it encourages expansive thinking and open-mindedness.

During this transit, our conversations and ideas tend to take on a more optimistic and adventurous tone. 11/11 - Portal day & Mars opposite Uranus - When Mars is in opposition to Uranus, it's like a cosmic tug-of-war between the planet of action and the planet of unpredictability. Mars represents our drive, ambition, and desire for action, while Uranus brings unexpected and disruptive energy. When they oppose each other, it can lead to sudden outbursts of impulsive actions, rebellion, and a strong urge to break free from limitations. This transit can be a bit of a wild card, so it's essential to stay cautious and avoid rash decisions or risky behaviors. This energy can feel anxious, irritable or exciting - move your body so this energy can circulate. On the positive side, it can be a time for innovation and taking bold steps to assert your independence.

11/13 - New Moon in Scorpio at 20 degrees - During this New Moon, you're encouraged to let go of old patterns, release what no longer serves you, and embrace a fresh start. It's an ideal time for introspection, self-discovery, and healing. Scorpio's energy supports profound emotional connections, so it's an excellent period for deepening relationships and exploring your own hidden desires and motivations. This New Moon is sitting with Mars and opposite Uranus - dayummm! Something is getting exposed or coming to a head this cycle in the news! Individually, truths are revealing as well. This is a potent New Moon - more like a Full Moon energy for sure. Hold onto your tits! Be cautious, don't be impulsive or reactive if you can help it, make big / powerful changes, fast new beginnings are upon you!

 

11/22 - Sun enters Sagittarius aka Sagittarius Season - Happy Birthday Saggies!  We got through the depths of Scorpio Season and it's time for a bit more optimism and excitement. This season is all about expansion. Does life feel dull or mundane? Time to get out of your comfort zone and into growth mode! During this time, we're drawn to expand our horizons, both mentally and physically. It's a great period for embarking on new journeys, exploring different belief systems, and seeking the truth. Our spirits are lifted, and we're more inclined to take risks, enjoy outdoor activities, and embrace a sense of freedom.

 

11/23 - Mars enters Sagittarius - "Anotha' one!" Mercury, Sun & Mars are now all in Sag - it's party time! But seriously, maybe watch out for over doing it lol. During this transit, we become more daring, eager to take risks, and driven by a sense of adventure. It encourages us to aim high, act on our beliefs, and go after what we're passionate about. Just be mindful of impulsive decisions! Seriously, where is Sagittarius in your personal chart? This area of life is lit x 10!

 

11/26 - Mercury SHADOW period begins - Mercury is not retrograde yet! It will be retrograding in Capricorn from 12/13 - 1/2/24. Some people feel shadow periods more so I wanted to make note of it here so y'all can plan ahead!

 

11/27 - Full Moon in Gemini at 4 degrees - This Full Moon can bring heightened emotions and a desire to express our thoughts and feelings. It's an excellent time for socializing, learning, and sharing ideas. However, be cautious of scattered energy and a tendency to be overly superficial or indecisive.

The Full Moon in Gemini invites us to find a balance between logic and emotions, adaptability, and focus. It's an opportunity to acknowledge and resolve any communication issues, as well as a time for intellectual exploration and embracing the duality within us. So, let your curiosity guide you, engage in meaningful conversations, and stay open to the diverse perspectives this Full Moon encourages. This Full Moon is opposite Mars (sheesh Mars be tripping this month) and squaring Saturn (boo! no fun!). You could be driven to master a situation, but some blocks or obstacles may need to be overcome. Any delays or frustrations that show up are happening for you - they are needed to gain deeper perspective. 

 

Collectively for the Universal 7 year, November is a 9 month

 

Let's start with a reminder of the main theme of 2023 - the 7 year. The 7 has emphasized the importance of our relationship with our inner self. It has been uncomfortable for many but necessary. 2024 is a much more external, material focused year - The 8 Year - and before we can go after that with gusto we need to get strong internally/spiritually/emotionally. The 7 can feel slow and triggering at times and inspiring and creative at times -  a lot of growth is going on. This is a nice month to look back at the year as a whole and see how you have tended to the depths of you. The 9 month is all about closure, completion and integrating. It has a direct correlation to February, which was also a 9 month this year. You may notice similar themes. Pair the wrapping up of the 9 energy with the 7 year - you may have heightened inner awareness, realizations and insights and / or be challenged with emotional ups and downs 

as you release the old. Things may come to an end that you have outgrown (many endings are fab like wrapping up goals or projects), you may need more rest (9 & 7 are the slow down numbers and they are teaming up), relationships may need boundaries or releases and you may feel more inspired to investigate your inner world via therapy, spirituality, healing or creative outlets. It isn't an ideal time for pushing things. This combined with the eclipses we just moved through, let's take time to integrate and let things settle. Nurture yourself and do some house cleaning - literally and figuratively.

 

 

The card of the month is the 5 of Swords. Hmm, feeling overwhelmed out there? I know I am. When this card shows up I always think of reaching our limits. This could be from responsibilities, relationships, work, our habits, or our struggles. It can feel like these things are overriding our strength and optimism at this time. Take a look at the internal narrative going on. 

 

This card can represent conflict. If you have reached your limit with something, try to look at the emotion underneath the anger. Is there sadness? Fear? Exhaustion? This pause and reflection will be helpful when on the verge of lashing out. This is a good month to get clear on what you can and can't take on and only push forward when it feels manageable. What or who are testing your limits? Could you take more responsibility too rather than going on the defense and blaming? Who or what is worth the fight?

 

The challenges you overcome = your wisdom, empathy and strength

Yay for one year of newsletters! Thank you for tuning in. Even though every month I scramble the night before to write this, I surprisingly really enjoy doing them! As I wrote in the first newsletter, I find it hard to nugget astro facts into an instagram post and to churn out info all the time. While that definitely is the way most people like to digest content these days, I have always been long winded and my personal Astro integrity can't force something that I don't naturally enjoy creating. So long form it is. 

 

Creating the workbook - SO MUCH went into this. Concept for me? Easy. Info and order and structure I wanted it in? Easy. Writing all the content? Well, not easy but the good kind of hard! But what I suck at? What makes me choose violence? Formatting - like size of spacing, what's bold, what's indented, border size, lining things up, the tiny intricacies… no thank you. If it gets in the way of the creative flow, it must be skipped and I'll torutre myself with it at the end. Not this time. This time I hired Alexa who, for some reason, enjoys these things (virgo) and is great at them. She also conquered the back end, the printing company and the dreaded Shopify - a tool I have heard over the years in jobs prior and from fellow entrepreneurs “is the fucking worst". 3 cheers for Alexa! And cheers for me knowing what I hate and hiring help for those things. Also it's kind of nice that when people are suddenly inspired to create their own print on demand product I can honestly say “I have no clue how to set it up, good luck!” lol.

 

So this process was not just creating the content and design - there was backend quirks- thinking things shipped when we forgot one step, color changes, trial and error, littlest things like what side of page things end up on ruining everything, carving out time to do this while I still worked and care-took my mom (instead of getting paid to work, I was paying to create this lol), and the whole 2 week delay on delivering the workbook presented an annoying dance for editing. We would order a rough draft and continue working for two weeks to then finally receive it and laugh. It's hilarious how something can look totally different on a tiny screen on the laptop versus printed irl. I joked that the first draft looked like elementary school lesson book - giant font and giant spacing for the lines. 

 

Another thing that was tough was when I would tell people I was creating it, many would be like "Oh like X book / workbook" “You should do X like X person” which is totally normal and just a way to relate to it! Of course there are other moon workbooks in existence. I didn't create the concept of moon rituals at all!! But I did create mine from the flow of my moon events that I have hosted for years, it is authentic to me and inspired within. I purposefully tune-out other Astrologers in general and certainly other Astrology workbooks - I never want to feel like “oh I should add this bc this book has it” type of thing. 

 

Personal  benefit of doing the workbook though?  I now know the energy of the whole year by studying the 24 moon charts and doing a write up on all of them. I chose an important date for a big deal, intense retreat, by using the draft workbook I have at home. I looked up the date I intuitively wanted and saw there was a very intensely aspected scorpio full moon, that falls in my 12th house, and it's when the biggest astrological event of the year (IMO) is happening - I am like YUP this is the date! It screamed intensive therapeutic healing lol.

 

I wanted to launch the workbook in November, for holiday season, and definitely on a new or full moon, naturally. So I said, whichever one is earlier in the month is the one. Well, that ended up being the 11/13 New Moon in Scorpio at 20 degrees. This is my mother's birthday. I was like wow, okay, yes. (I am typing this newsletter at her bedside in the hospital). This New Moon also falls in my 1st house of my chart - amazing. AND it is in the 10th house of my Business's chart - amazing. It is also when my Nodal Return is exact. While I don't think this workbook will be that “successful”, (and I don't mean that in a hopeless / negative way, I mean it in an intuitive way, like I know it is important and needed to exist but I think it may do big things later), I do know it was meant to be birthed when I had the time (re: no social life haha). It will be something I can do every year for years to come now that the big hurdle of creating from scratch is done. I'd just update the 24 write ups for the moons each year. I mean, “just” lol, that is the hardest part but y'all get it - the bones are there!

 

Anyways, y'all, lengthy per usual. But I never celebrate the things I do so writing about this process and being proud of creating it is important because by next month I will have forgotten about it hahaha!
