Hello First name / beautiful breather —
The air is feeling heavy and the collective grief palpable, which keeps me coming back to big sighs and exhales. Unfortunately, I am learning that the exhales don't necessarily let you release the emotion, experience, or hurt right away. It's more about the softening and the surrendering to what is in the exhale, which can be less than comfortable.
And sometimes the discomfort of being with the breath makes me want to watch Is it Cake? on Netflix instead of taking conscious breaths. And, I'm telling myself that is okay.
I'm saying, hey Sarah, taking a breath and pondering how a breathing cake would look and taste is so human of you. Feeling the heavy and sweet possibility at once.
I definitely think a breathing cake would hold a toasted, herbaceous flavor. What do you think?
Speaking of herbaceous, I am really excited about
Elixirs & Exhales coming up on November 4th at
Refuge Event Space in Troy, New York! This Elixirs & Exhales has some extra sparkle to it because:
- Each curated breath is in relationship to a specific elixir and a special nook at Refuge.
- The alcohol-free Ambrosia Elixirs already alluring, textured, and aromatic way of being will be elevated by the different exhales.
- There is a mix of collective breathing and audio-guided explorations. Introverts, extroverts, and introverted extroverts can all get along.
- Refuge Event Space is where Slo Breathworks held its first Upstate New York event.
And if you can't make Elixirs & Exhales, check out these other whimsical ways to breathe with Slo Breathworks.
