When it comes to taking care of our health, a lot of us forget about one the most important things that our body needs in order to recharge our mental and physical state
and that is: SLEEP!
Now some of you are thinking SAY LESS!

Which is great, but the important thing here isn't just sleep, its your
NIGHTTIME ROUTINE !!!

Your habits before going to bed are extremely important to how your body recovers while you are sleeping! Meaning there are habits we need to get rid of to improve your quality of sleep...

Yes you do…start saying goodbye to:
SOCIAL MEDIA BEFORE BED

Seriously, though!
The way you get yourself ready for bed every night is extremely important to how your body recovers, so here are a few more tips that can help you with building your new nighttime ritual:
1. Be Consistent
Set a regular sleep schedule and stick to it. Consistency helps regulate your body's internal clock, making it easier to fall asleep and wake up refreshed.

2. Create a RELAXING RITUAL
By having a “relaxing ritual” before bedtime, you're signaling your body that it's time to wind down. Activities like we mentioned above can help you do just that!

3. Make Your Sleep Environment Comfy
A comfortable sleep environment is essential for restful sleep. Invest in a good mattress and pillows that provide the right support. Keep your bedroom at a comfortable temperature and minimize noise and light.

4. Limit Screen Time
The blue light emitted by screens from smartphones, tablets, and computers can disrupt your sleep by suppressing melatonin production, a hormone that regulates sleep. Avoid screens at least an hour before bedtime or buy yourself some BLUE LIGHT GLASSES ;)

5. Be Mindful of Your Meals
Eating heavy or spicy meals close to bedtime can lead to discomfort and may disrupt your sleep. Caffeine and alcohol can also interfere with your sleep patterns, so it's a good idea to keep it to a minimum, especially in the hours leading up to your bedtime.

6. Try to De-stress
Stress and anxiety are common sleep disruptors, so try incorporating relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga to help calm your mind and prepare you for a restful night's sleep.

Remember: Your health is a reflection of your sleep. Insufficient sleep can result in poor focus, reduced cognition, delayed reactions, mood swings, and even a higher risk for illness.
So prioritize your nighttime routine and chances are many other aspects of your health will also improve!

PACE IN YOUR LIFE:

Nowadays we all have this “go, go, go" mindset and it can be difficult to make time to actually enjoy life and relax.

And with the holidays approaching, now is the best time to learn how to
START SLOWING DOWN!

Here are a few tips to help you slow down in this season of your life:

1) Set Your Phone Aside
Our digital world can be a constant whirlwind of notifications and information overload which causes us to live a more fast paced life. Give yourself permission to disconnect from the internet, put your phone down and focus your energy on something in your physical surrounding.

2) Prioritize Your “ME TIME”
Whether it's going for a walk, giving yourself a spa day or spending an afternoon curled up with a good book, these moments are essential for your well-being. By slowing down and nurturing yourself, you'll be better equipped to handle things that life throws your way.

3) Simplify Your Schedule
Your daily schedule can resemble a never-ending to-do list, leaving you feeling overwhelmed and rushed. It's time to reevaluate your commitments and focus on what genuinely brings you joy and fulfillment. By simplifying your schedule and concentrating on your priorities, you can create more room for the activities and experiences that truly matter to you.

4) Embrace Mindfulness
Mindfulness practices, such as meditation and deep breathing exercises, are like a gentle hug for your mind. They bring you back to the present moment, reduce stress, and promote inner peace. So turn on a meditation video on YouTube, set a timer for 5-10 minutes and CHILL!
Keep in mind that SLOWING DOWN isn't just about doing less; it's about being PRESENT & setting an INTENTION.
Simplify your life, disconnect from the inner chaos in your mind, so that you can truly connect to the present moment.
