“But what’s the ROI?”
 
You can go ahead and file that under “most commonly asked question” for any business owner or service provider selling something. 
 
This is often the thing that your potential clients want to know first and it’s a valid question. I also like to know what I can expect to receive out of an investment. 
 
As a brand and website designer, I get this question quite often because it’s no secret that your brand and website can be a hefty investment. 
 
There’s a lot of time and energy that goes into the development of both of those things and it’s not just something that you can throw together in a few days… not unless you want it to be done effectively that is!
 
When I get this question, it’s quite honestly hard to answer because I can’t always prove that clients can expect to receive a certain number of bookings from their new website or a certain amount of new followers from their brand design. 
 
It just doesn’t work that way because your brand and website design aren’t just something you do in order to reach new goals.
Can they help you move toward your goals? Sure thing!
 
But they aren’t THE sole things that will help you reach a certain number of revenue in your business. 
 
Here’s why: your brand and website are like the foundation of your business. They are the things that help you build and become exactly what you want to be. 
 
Just like a house must have a solid foundation before it can become a beautiful mansion, your business is no different! 🏠
 
This is why when someone asks, “well what’s the ROI” regarding brand and website design, I have to take a step back and help them understand that the return on their investment isn’t just up to me as their designer…
 
And I know that might sound weird and maybe not what you expected to hear, but let me explain. ⬇️
 
As a brand and website designer, I care very deeply about the clients that I work with. I approach their business just as I approach mine which means I take a LOT of things into consideration throughout the entire process. 
 
I don’t do things “just because.”
 
Meaning, I won’t design a logo just because it looks cute. I won’t design a website just because it looks cool. I won’t choose certain colors just because they’re your favorite.
 
That’s just not how I roll! My process involves a lot of strategy – that’s my favorite S word. 😏
 
This means that when you work with me for brand and website design, you can expect it to be done in a way that CAN effectively generate an ROI…
 
But the design alone won’t get you there. If that were the case, you could just whip something up on Canva and call it a day.
 
To truly get the most out of your brand and website design investment, there’s 3 main factors that have HUGE impact, including:
  1. Strategy Implementation – like I said, that’s my favorite S word, but something to note is that not all designers are also strategists. This is why YOUR research before hiring a designer to work with is so important.
  2. Your Commitment – this is where you come in, First name / friend! I’ve already mentioned that I approach my clients business the same way I approach mine – with dedication and commitment. But your brand and website designer can’t be the only one committed to this thing!
  3. Quality Investment – not all designers are created equal. This isn’t to say that all designers can’t produce great work, but not ALL designers can create good work for YOU specifically.
