Hi Friends,
Welcoming you to the fourth edition of our newsletter is me, Jesse Larsen. We're thrilled to have you as part of our mid-century community.
This journey has sparked fantastic conversations and forged connections with members both longtime and new. It's incredible to think about the many relationships that have grown within our crew, all united by the dream of mid-century living, architecture and design.
One particular story comes to mind, one that's very close to my heart. It's about the first mid-century dream that I helped come true.
It all started at an open house in the north end hills of our beloved city, in a house built in 1954 - the same year my Mom was born. I fell in love with the place, from its original brickwork to the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and the breathtaking views of the canopy of Les Bois.
I had the good fortune of meeting someone who, like me, was returning to Boise, the place they call home. He was to bring his partner, whom I would come to adore during their next visit.
In a departure from our usual focused home shopping approach, we explored everything, leaving no knob unturned. While they initially considered various home styles, mid-century quickly emerged as the clear favorite.
A few months passed quickly, with them back on the East Coast until I received a message:
"I'll be there tomorrow! Can we go see that mid-century home?"
This one was an enchanting 1956 gem in another foothills neighborhood - The Highlands. It was listed by our team and brought to life by TJ Pierce and this would be my first visit. The two of us met there the next day, with a friend of his, and there was an electricity in the air. We both felt it and quickly got his partner on FaceTime.
