Happy Thanksgiving!🍂🦃
November, the penultimate month of the year, holds a unique place in the calendar, characterized by its transition into the colder and darker days of autumn. It's a time when the vibrant hues of October transform into a more muted palette, and nature's beauty continues to evolve. November brings with it a sense of reflection and gratitude, most notably observed in the celebration of Thanksgiving in the United States. In November, men grow mustaches to raise awareness for men’s health issues. In November we wish you – happy Thanksgiving, Diwali, All Saint’s Day, Dia le los Muertos, and Movember!

Learned Optimism: How to Change Your Mind and Your Life
As the weather turns colder and the days get shorter, I try to add more daylight into my personal world. As you are all aware, recent events and atrocities have been shedding a lot of darkness over our collective world. None of us can seem to understand it, nor stop it from coming into our homes and heads thanks to an abundance of expertly crafted social media outlets.
An antidote (other than trashing your phone) might be a good read and dive into the super strength of optimism. Author Martin Seligman, father of the positive psychology movement, wrote Learned Optimism in 1991. Maybe we need those skills even more today.
Changing your mind really can change your life. The truth is that it is something we can all learn to do, regardless of how many problems we think we have. A New York Times book reviewer said that Learned Optimism "vaulted me out of my funk..." which sounds pretty timely to me. So pick up a copy, change how you think-and change how you feel.
Please be kind to yourselves and one another. Happy reading!
