Beautiful Rappahannock County, VA (photo taken November 1, 2023)
UPCOMING VIRGINIA SHOWS!
Hi there, First name / my friend!

It's been quite a whirlwind for the last month, so I'm very tardy in sending out notice of two events in Virginia where you can see my work in person!

This weekend, November 4-5, is the Fall Art Tour in Rappahannock County, VA. Just 60 miles southwest of Washington, DC, and an easy trip down I-66, I'll be a guest in a gorgeous studio in Flint Hill, VA, right on Route 522, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am - 5 pm both days. If you're in the Washington Metropolitan Area, it's going to be perfect weather for a trip to the country - sunny, clear skies and temps in the mid-to-upper 60's!

If you've never been out in this area of Virginia (that's so close to Washington, DC, but truly a world apart), Rappahannock County is just beautiful, especially this time of year. The Autumn color is spectacular in this little jewel of a County, nestled up against the Shenandoah National Park. With over 80 artists in 28 art studios and galleries spread throughout the county, there's lots of art to see while you meander the byways and backroads and enjoy one beautiful vista after another. Add in local restaurants, shops, wineries, micro-breweries, and more, and it's the perfect set up for a gorgeous and relaxing day or weekend in the countryside.

Michael (my studio host), his sister, and his cousin have been busy baking amazing cookies for weeks now (with many gluten free - which is both wonderful and terrible haha). His studio is always a fun and festive stop on the Tour, with 6 artists in total (plus delicious snacks!). And it's a sight to behold - absolutely gorgeous construction and design (Michael is a former graphic artist and designer, and his studio, home, and gardens are spectacular).

Hope you can come out to Rappahannock this weekend! There are still rooms available in some of the local inns and B&B's, plus loads of Airbnb's in the County, too!

I'll be at Michael's all the weekend - hope to see you there!

If you can't make it out to Rappahannock County for the Fall Art Tour this weekend, I also have an exhibit at my favorite local coffee shop, Before & After, from November 4 through December 31. Once the Tour is over, all my work will be on display at Before & After, which has amazing coffees and other drinks, breakfast and lunch. It's housed in an historic building on Main Street in Sperryville built in 1857, and has housed many important local individuals and businesses. It's a really wonderful spot, and a great place to stop when enjoying Rappahannock or the nearby Shenandoah National Park (the Thornton Gap entrance to the Park is just a few miles west of Sperryville).
