Hi First name / friend! Can we talk about the absolutely *sew-sational* adventure we just experienced? What a blast of color, creativity, and community! Every aisle was a treasure trove, each booth more intriguing than the last, that left us spinning with inspiration. We had a such a wonderful time at Quilt Market in Houston! |
We gathered together not only to celebrate 10 years designing together, but also to debut our newest collections for the season: Sarah Watts' Dogpark, Kimberly Kight's Picture Book, and Rashida Coleman-Hale's Pivot, and the exciting news of Alexia Abegg's Starry becoming a basic! |

Our fabric collections play together so well across designers and seasons. In our booth, we created a wall of shelving that mimics what you might see in a shop. We called out our newest collections on their own shelves, but we put everything else in color order. It's always so fun to see how nicely our fabrics combine together into a lovely spectrum. |
Each collection is more than just fabric; it's Ruby Star Society’s invitation to you to play, explore, and create. We included a sewing area in our booth where attendees could take a little sewing break and make a pennant or a dog bandana. Designers also showed demos of projects made out of their newest collections! |

You may know that we love to do collaborative collections and panels together. Every year we do something called Projects With Purpose, where we create a panel together and the profits go to a charity of our choice. This year, we created a panel we called 10 Years of Magic, and it features illustrations and motifs from the last 10 years of all of our fabric collections. There are over 150 different illustrations on this panel in squares ranging from 2” to 4 1/2”. The profits this year will go to the Martha O’Bryan Center in Nashville which “empowers children, youth, and adults in poverty to transform their lives through work, education, and employment”. Above you can see a quilt made by Doug Leko featuring our 10 years of magic panel! |
The best part about Quilt Market is having the opportunity to network and bond with each other, our Moda Fabrics family, fellow quilting enthusiasts and industry experts. It truly adds to the dynamic atmosphere, sparking new collaborations and friendships and the connections made over fabric swatches and coffee breaks were priceless! |
It was such an amazing show and none of this would have been possible without our fantastic team at the studio in Atlanta! Their attention to every detail made our booth and our Quilt Market experience top tier! Thank you Melody, Audrey, and Meagan! You're tthe BEST! The Quilt Market, you were a dream! Until we meet again next year! |
