Thanksgiving is a great time of year to have the students reflect on all of the things and people that they appreciate. You can begin by introducing a brief history of Thanksgiving with our PowerPoint and then show videos that explain the holiday in Spanish. As a culminating project, students can create their own Thankful Turkeys to practice being grateful and to build community while using the target language. Our students love seeing their classmates’ turkeys and they vote for their favorites via Google Classroom each year.
