EQUINE-ASSISTED
LEARNING
& HOW IT CAN BENEFIT YOUR STUDENTS

Dear educator,
I am so excited to share with you some of the many benefits of Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) and the programs we offer.

If you are interested in reaching out to us to set up a field trip opportunity, please email or call us. Our goal is to be able to partner with classrooms to assist in changing learning behaviors, developing personal growth, and invoking a heap of other physical and emotional benefits to all children including those with special needs.

Some benefits include…

stress reduction
Exercises with the horses and observation of their behavior provide the basis for reflection and discussion. Additionally, interacting with horses can provide a calming effect that helps to reduce anxiety.
Enhanced motivation
Improved problem solving skills and critical thinking. Improved concentration. Increased self-esteem and confidence. Helps develop social growth and behaviors.
emotional
regulation
The need to communicate with a horse calmly promotes emotional awareness, self-control, and impulse control. It's effective in reducing irritability, agitation, and impulsivity.
physical
benefits
The physical benefits of equine therapy are also significant. Equine activities help develop balance, coordination, motor skills, and core strength.

These activities and discussions improve student confidence, self-assurance, verbal and non-verbal communication, focus, mindfulness, and coping strategies.

We would love to be a part of your teaching strategy to engage and excite students to learn while gaining self confidence and life skills. There are many ways we can partner from one-time field trips to monthly or biweekly education plans. Reach out to us today!

The Barns at Blue Mountain is a 501c3 non profit and although we try to provide services to every student needing financial assistance, we are not always able to and rely entirely on fundraising, donations, and grants through our partnering agencies. If you know of funding to help provide services, please let us know how to pursue that.
