Women and
Late Life Diagnosis

More women are getting diagnosed or suspect they have ADHD as adults.

There are 3 subtypes of ADHD:
     1. Hyperactive/Impulsive  (Physical behavior and can be seen by others)
     2. Inattentive (Stuck in your head, think of a habitual daydreamer or easily distracted)
     3. Combination of the 2

Inattentive ADHD is more prevalent in women and doctors do not know how to recognize it. ADHD can lead to mood disorders and most women are misdiagnosed with anxiety and/or depression.
