Hello First name / friend,
The London Magic Convention was last Sunday and what a great day it was!
This wholesome day of social, sharing and supportive shenanigans is a welcomed hit of magical goodness I needed.
The vibe and spirit that the Nyman family have cultivated within this relatively new annual gathering is wonderful, and quite aptly gives all the feels of the ‘mom and pop’ of magic conventions.
Andy and Preston have managed to foster and hold on tight to the 'newness' and at the same time maintain the welcoming, family feeling. Perhaps it's the open and encouraging vibe of the competition, perhaps it’s the unity created by the madness of the £4 gala, maybe it’s the moment of silence given to those lost over the previous year, or it could be talking openly about mental health in memory of Anthony Owen, turning this tragic loss into a positive expression of love and caring toward all members of our community…or maybe it's just the new and inventive ways of showing Rodney James Piper falling hilariously off stage.
All I can say is I come away feeling better.
Thank you, Andy, Preston and the Nyman family.
