🙋♀️ We started by welcoming a couple of copywriters to the conversation!
Both copywriters offer web copy services! (Perfect!)
😕 Then we basically got straight to the heart of the problem: Clients approach web designers wanting a website but not knowing that they need great copy and content to succeed.
🤷♂️ Web designers said that tend to combat this by providing a guided copy form for DIYers and require audits in the cases that clients really don't have a budget for copy.
⚡ Web designers said their jobs would be easier and sites would be better with professional copy. And copywriters said their words would work harder with great design.
🤝 We talked about ways we can collaborate during our projects – starting with including each other on Discovery or Strategy calls if possible.
⌚ We talked about whether that extra time collaborating would feel like a chore – but both web designers and copywriters in the conversation all agreed they'd like the option to be kept in the loop because in the end it reflects the work that goes on their portfolio.
🎉 All in all this was one of my favorite Glitch + Bitch's to date. It was a really positive conversation about how we can create better work with the support of other sharp creators.
