What’s up fam,
When exploring a big and beautiful Yoga Teacher Training like ours, you can often form some big assumptions, that are entirely incorrect.
(Hey, we’re all busy and there is a lot to take in right?)
So, today I’m gonna break it all down and tell you the reality vs the myth your busy mind may have created.
Cos look, I want your decision to sign upto our YTT to be based off all of the facts, not the slightly confused assumptions.
Let’s get stuck in… |
|
FOOD. Assumption: It’s all vegan, lacking protein and you’ll be starving all month.
Reality: They’ll be 6 options of vegan, veggie, GF, DF DELICIOUS food served every single meal. With fresh fish served multiple times per week. Desserts, afternoon tea, coffee, the best chai known to man and so much fresh hot lemon, ginger and tea.
You will be so fking nourished, your gut health and body will transform over the month.
WATER. Assumption: I’ll need to bring my own mineral water supply, or constantly go to the main food room to be hydrated.
Reality: There are huge water filters in every single bedroom, yoga shala and main house. |
|
SCHEDULE. Assumption: It’s going to be HOURS of physical practice, long study sessions and minimal breaks every single day.
Reality: You’ll have a morning practice every single day, with a long morning break for food and chill, followed by 2 x 3 hour sessions per day with a long lunch break, and either free time or something fun that we’ve put on in the evening.
You’ll have breaks scheduled in every week so you can rest, and chill.
Yes, the schedule is going to be full. It’s an immersion! However your rest, digest and playtime has been very thoughtfully planned out.
GETTING THERE. Assumption: I have to travel solo to the middle of nowhere, and figure it all out on my own.
Reality: We will connect all of you pre the YTT, so you can hook up and ya never know… maybe travel together!
We will organise cars to collect you from your hotels in Ubud the day the YTT starts, that will bring you directly to the retreat centre.
We can also organise cars to collect you from the airport and bring you to ubud the day before too.
All transport is trusted, and with people I personally know and have used for a decade.
You’ll simply pay an organised amount of $ to the driver.
|
|
WIFI. Assumption: There’s gonna be no wifi for the whole month!
Reality: We’re in the rainforest, so yes wifi isn’t going to be the best. However there is wifi in the main building to connect with loved ones, daily. I would encourage you to buy a sim at the airport so you can connect to 4G, whilst this won’t be incredible all the time, it will be easier for you.
ROOMS + CENTRE. Assumption: It’s a traditional, basic centre. Don’t expect luxe.
Reality: The centre is fking beautiful, every single part of it has been considered, and if you consider luxe to be nature, organic food and the most incredible team known to man... its luxe AF.
The beds are comfy, the sheets are soft. The showers are hot, the towels smell divine. The rooms are spacious, the decor is homely. The balconies are lush, the day beds, table and chairs are perfect for studying, resting and chatting.
WHAT IF I FAIL? Assumption: If I suck at this I will fail and the whole thing will be a waste of time.
Reality: If you show up, give your all, and follow what we ask you to do, you cannot fail. Literally. The whole training is rigged in your favour, all you have to do is the work.
We are watching you teach, supporting you and mentoring you the whole way through. We will know where you’re at, and along as you are responsible for where you’re at, and ask for help when you need it.
You simply cannot fail.
You simply cannot get the transformation that god has on the cards for you.
Period.

Meet rachel
Rach has been my Teacher for over a decade. She has held me, softened me, and brought me back to my divinity more times then I can remember.
Her devotion to the philosophy and Tradition of Yoga moves everyone who gets the privilege to experience her sharing it.
She lives and breathes the traditional subtleties of this practice, regardless of how trendy it becomes to do the opposite.
This is exactly why she Teaches Yogic philosophy, Chanting, Sanskrit and Mantra on my YTT. For over a decade I’ve watched her live Yoga, and support so many people find their way of truly living it too. |

Meet CAROLINE
Caroline is a seasoned Vedic meditation teacher, having taught meditation classes, workshops and retreats for years. But, she felt like she was lacking in skills as a Teacher / space holder, lacking in confidence to creating new offerings and selling them. Then she found The Initiation Yoga Teacher Training. She spent the training in awe of how thoroughly we taught her the artistry of Teaching and energetics of space holding. She couldn’t believe just how much her confidence, and ability to teach masterful classes grew in such a short amount of time. Just 3 months since completing her YTT, in May this year, she has doubled her income. She is now offering Yoga + Mediation in a plethora of exciting new ways. She feels resourced and confident in her ability to create, lead and hold a huge range of powerful spaces. |

Meet NATTY
When Natty first reached out to me about embarking on our Teacher Training, she was deeply questioning whether it was going to be worthwhile investment of her time and money. She had completed many Yoga courses, and even dropped out of an online Teacher Training (because it sucked balls), but nothing so far had fully resourced her to start a meaningful career Teaching Yoga. Fast forward just 15 months since she graduated The Initiation Yoga Teacher Training, Natty now owns, manages and teaches in her very own studio in Sydney. She is fulfilling the dream she once thought wasn’t possible. |
