The Sun and the New Moon are stationed in Scorpio. Ruled by Mars, Scorpio is the sign of transformation ushering this time of undeniable change. We're poised to dive deep into the darkness that is surfacing and shed deeply to reveal a new connection with our Divine truth. Let's get into the details and how we can best navigate all of this cosmic energy for healing, mind, body, soul self-care, and divine alignment. |
|
What are the Sun and Moon doing? The Sun and the Moon are stationed in intense water-sign Scorpio. Represented by the scorpion and the phoenix, Scorpio is the deep, dark water sign associated with intensity, transformation, and the passionate discovery of truth. This New Moon starts a new lunar cycle focused on revealing and dealing with what is hidden in our personal and collective lives. Scorpio rules the eighth astrological house of sex and intimacy, mystery, death, inheritances, taxes, loans, and joint ventures and resources, so these themes are under the spotlight for deep excavation, release, and grounding too. Take some time to reflect on how these themes have been showing up for you in the last few weeks.
This New Moon is happening on the heels of an equally as intense Eclipse season, and just two weeks after a strong AF Lunar Eclipse that activated the North Node in Aries. With the North Node specifically in Aries, the Mars-ruled cardinal fire sign of action and initiation that ALSO rules Scorpio, we were poised to honor how we need to show up in this season of growth and passionate, forward action. This is being echoed during this Scorpio New Moon with a sharp focus on going deep into the darkness, our darkness, so that we can reach full illumination in our personal and collective transformations – transformations we should not try to escape or ignore. New Moons are ideal for vibrating and setting intentions for new beginnings that will germinate over the next six months, so it's not a bad time to look back at what intentions you were setting for the Full Moon Eclipse in Scorpio on May 5. What has come to fruition for you? What opportunities have you received to transform your life in the ways that you craved then? What about the other planets? The New Moon in Scorpio is tightly conjunct its ruling planet, Mars, the planet of action, war, and initiation who will be in Scorpio until November 24. And Mars is tightly opposing Uranus, planet of upheaval and awakening. Not easy energy as you can imagine. Venus, planet of love, relationships, and money, is now back home in Libra until December 4, Mercury, planet of communication, is in Sagittarius until December 1, and the other planets are where they're going to be stationed until 2024 and 2025 with a few of them in retrograde, giving us a chance to review what they stand for. Uranus is retrograding in earthy Taurus until January 27, 2024, Neptune, planet of spirituality and delusion ,is retrograding in floaty Pisces until December 6, and Jupiter, planet of expansion and luck, is retrograding in earthy Taurus until December 30. What does all of this mean for me? - Denounce the fear of exploration, excavation, and change. They are the gateways to the blessings you and we have been asking for.
It's a fearful time for the world, and as above so below and throughout, so I presume that you're probably going through personal transformations too. While some in the spiritual and well-being community are preaching staying "light and full of love" because current events are “low vibrational,” I want to 1. call bullshit on this 2. remind you of how important it is to go THROUGH to get to the other side. It is not only essential that we face discomfort, but we are energetically supported in doing so.
It's easy to ignore something, nourish yourself via specific practices, pretend the discomfort isn't there, and call it "self-care." But this moment is as real as it gets, so be real with yourself. Easy isn't always sustainable, especially not during times of collective chaos. And banishing something and calling it “low vibrational” defeats the purpose of its existence and will breed more of its energies in the longrun.
Yes – low vibrations, darkness, and discomfort serve an important purpose in our lives. Specifically, they exist to propel us forward in the direction of our soul desires and motivations for pleasure and harmony.
Collectively, we're watching this happen in real time. Genocide propelling millions of people forward through protests, boycotts, and political stances for true liberation for all.
Personally, you're probably navigating intense or complex emotions or thoughts, too. Accept them as opportunities to shed what no longer is nourishing you or your life, to change your existence. Remember wtf you are – born to alchemize your darkness into light, and your challenges into wins. You incarnated here for this very season of metamorphosis. - Self-care shouldn't be a distraction, but it should be prioritized as fuel.
Between this intense New Moon, Scorpio season, and fiery Mars opposing unpredictable Uranus, we're positioned to be sucked into energies of fear, agitation, uncertainty, and anxiety. It's important that we prioritize grounding ourselves and fortifying our nervous systems more than ever.
Uranus is the unexpected planet of upheaval, but it it also the planet of awakening and liberation. As it opposes action-oriented Mars, we're supposed to feel lit up! But we shouldn't feel like we're burning in overwhelm. Your clarity of perspective is important. Making sure that you're moving WITH the tides is important so that you're not just getting slapped around by the waves of life.
- Learn new things! Express yourself! Just be compassionate.
Dealing with our shadows, working through traumas, and facing things head on can be really empowering! Its the most empowering work we can do in my opinion. With planet of communication Mercury in Sagittarius, you're supported in expressing yourself, especially as it relates to truth-seeking right now.
Just make sure to ground yourself in compassion before you open your mouth or take to a keyboard. Being too blunt can stunt the growth you're intending for. All things rooted in love, honesty, and integrity.

Let's talk about self-care. As mentioned, nervous system regulation should be prioritized as a way to fuel you and keep you connected in mind, body, and spirit. Taking into account the cosmic energy of the moment, that can look like: - Incorporating breath work into your daily routine (Don't forget to make use of our Breather class)
- Journaling morning and night to clear your thoughts and record any opportunities that you're recognizing in your life
- Spending time grounding in or around water (Drinking water too)
- Moving your body, period (A plus if you can get sensual movement in)

All zodiac signs rule parts of the body, and Scorpio rules the reproductive organs, hips, and bowels. These areas of the body are essential for birth, so honor this moment as an essential rebirth too. When in a low moment, pray “Spirit, remind me of how I am an instrument of your life and purpose.” When taking action, ground yourself in compassion. Even when it does not feel like it, everything is in alignment. Just remember that in every moment, you get to choose what your life is in alignment with. |
